Chavez was not a one punch and done type of fighter, but he was known as the best finisher in the sport for a reason. his ability to land a variety of flush shots in a short amount of time was not exaggerated. and Taylor would have fallen apart without much punishment at that point.

he COULD have done it in those 5 seconds. but its nothing to bet on.

I agree its nothing to bet on, but for years, people were quick to hang their hat on there not being enough time left for any damage to be done.

Mosleys final blow crushed that argument to bits.

chavez was on the other side of the ring and mosley was standing right next to mayorga cause the ref was incompetent. one of hattons old refs perhaps?

Jones never used steroids and there is nothing that supports that he did. Steroids are not anywhere near as bad as loading gloves anyway. That's criminal.

                which is coincidentally,

the same amount of time that was on the clock when Steele waved it off.

You're saying it could never have happened,

but we have a recent fight that shows it can.

Chavez is not Shane Mosley and Taylor is not Mayorga. You're comparison between the two fights is desperate and ignorant. There is NO WAY Chavez was going to going to knock Taylor out with two seconds left. How many one punch KO's did Chavez ever have in his career? There. Is that what you were looking for? And even if he could have, so what? Taylor desreved to finish that fight whether on his back or not.Tayor got robbed that night nad you're delusional.

i've gotta say that Taylor did deserve the win(i'm not saying he won every round or that chavez wasn't doing well) but I just don't know if i was the ref that i could have looked at Taylor's face and allowed the fight to continue. The man was completely destroyed mentally after that fight and one more punch might have killed him.

that could be one of the factors.....a did reckon watching tht fight was chavez using the same method as margarito used....richard steele made a bad decision but lets face it he was don king s friend
