Hatton,s " jab " is suspect, his chin isnt as great as Morales but being 2 division up may nullify it.He needs to brawl i dont see him duplicating el terribles performance......He must Brawl brawl brawl.............

well certain times, but it is proven that the last guy that really got up in his face was morales in his first fight, his timing was disrupted and looked out of sync....and manny is way better since that fight....but manny's biggest weakness comes from his biggest strength...and that is he is way off blanace when he throws the power left....i think hatton can counter-punch him easily as well...step o the side and throw a power shot to the body....or do what he did in the collazo fight and make manny eat left hooks to the face all night

even the so-called experts have said hatton has a world class jab when he uses it....coming from lennox lewis and emmanuel steward

oh and he almost put mayweather down in round 1 from a jab

as much as im a fan of MP, i am also being an objective spectator here like u...

anyway, i agree that pacquiao's power is relatively weaker now than it was when he was still @112-130... but as good as an observer as u are, u probably noticed that it was not power that destroyed ODLH and david diaz...

diaz, ODLH, larios & solis said it themselves... it wasnt really the power... if u still remember erik morales also said after their 2nd fight that he went down bcoz of exhaustion rather than the sting of MP's punches...

exhaustion from what? from accumulated punches of course! what do u think man?

the ones who gave MP trouble in the elite level were patient counterpunchers...is hatton a better counter puncher than jmm?

is hatton patient enough like morales to wait for MP to commit then make him pay?

those looking for pacquiao to engage with them in a slugfest found themselves eating a steady dose of cleto reyes themselves...

they were expecting pacquiao the brawler but to their horror pacquiao offered speed & movement instead...

is hattons defense in any way better than morales, jmm or barrera to avoid MP's leads?
While I agree to an extent in regards to Manny over whelming his opponents with speed & punches. I don't see Manny being able to enforce his will on Hatton, who is by far the more aggressor of the two. If Hatton comes to the ring as good of even better than when he fought Tszyu & Castillo, I just don't see how Manny will be able to accumulate all those punches to make a game Hatton feel tired or overwhelmed. This fight will not be a defensive fight, it will be a slug fest & that I am sure of. Manny doesn't use much defense & neither does Hatton so it will come down to them seeing who takes the best and most flush power shots. Manny's fast but Hatton is fast as well & I think he will be on Manny, not giving him time to get into his rythm and Hatton's jab is dangerous. Manny has a chance to win for sure but I have to go with my gut & pick Hatton but if Manny wins I will be one of the first on here to give him his props.

I said the same thing but some guys own here tried to convince me that their feet got tangled when clearly the HBO commentators said "IT WAS A JAB THAT SENT FLOYD BACK ON HIS HEELS"

of course hatton is capable of counter punching... but looking at his history, no way he has shown this trait even at his technically greatest fight (against ben tackie)... hatton showed head movement, dexterity and great footwork... but counterpunching? naaah...

& i agree 100 percent with u regarding MP's balance when he throws his left lead... but TBH, i haven't seen him do this since the 2nd barrera fight...

hatton im sure will be expecting that flaw in their upcoming fight...

likewise here man... there is nothing like a good boxing discussion with a good & objective fan... u are such a good sport... unlike some posters here who spoil good discussions with vulgarity & blind nuthuggery and hate...

like i dont think ricky will be able to outbox pac by anymeans....i'm not saying you are, but a lot of pac nuthuggers and roach are saying hatton is technically flawed....i think he has some good sound fundamentals of the game, that people are sleeping on....this is where floyd, sr. will make a difference, he will bring it back out in ricky....hes not teaching anything new....just bringing out the fundamentals he already had....and yes i'm sure i'm probably overlooking something in pac's game....i would say hes right hand has become pretty effective as well...that will be something to watch
