Those same flurries are what get people all hyped and think Calzaghe is whooping ass when in reality he's going at it with the air infront of his opponent. Compubox can't see that so imagine fans and judges.
That's bull****. Calzaghe landed tons of shots on Jones. It's easy to take a 2 second GIF of any fight and make any fighter look bad. Just take the worst part you can find and ignore the rest of the fight. Genius! No. Only a dumbass would do such a thing.

Try throwing punches at someone who's running from you, film it with a camera and post a GIF, then we'll sum up your fighting style from a 2 second GIF of missed punches.

I tell you what, let's take a 2 second GIF of Jones missing punches he threw at Calzaghe, then make a 2 second GIF of it and put it in our sigs. That should sum up up Roy's fighting style, right?

No disrespect, Larry, but how the hell do you know if he was hurt or not? You were not the guy in the ring, you never felt a single shot, you just sat in your chair and made a random guess.

My take on it? Simple as this: If Hopkins or Jones weren't hurt, why not stand and trade instead of running?

These people saying Joe's hands can't hurt people don't have a clue. Take it from those who fought him and sparred with him -- he hurts you. It might not look like it, but the guy still has enough pop to get his opponents' respect, even with broken hands.

But the best I've been inside the ring with was Joe Calzaghe in sparring. Beforehand, I thought he were quite boring to watch and looked as if he slapped but, f**k me, he punches hard. If he slapped, Bernard Hopkins would've stood toe-to-toe with Joe, but he [Hopkins] got on his bike, didn't he? If Joe and Nigel had fought, I think Joe would have been able to take the pain and would've ended up hurting Nigel, bit like Michael Watson did.

Jones may have been hurt but Hops certainly never appeared so. As to why they didn't stand and trade well...when have they ever stood and traded?

They have stood and traded. Do you need glasses?

F**k this though. If Joe had nothing on his punches, just walk through them and KO him. It's that simple. I'm not going to start analyzing their styles, for starters, all three of the guys we're talking about have changed their style over time.

Anyway, they couldn't knock him out, they lost, so let's move on. Activity won the Hopkins fight, it wasn't pretty but it was exactly what he needed to do to win. And Joe beat Jones up, there's no question about it.

            The end.

LOL. Stop catching feelings man, it's embarassing. Whether they've stood and traded or not, that's just not their style - especially when under attack. Jones especially and Hopkins in his later years.

But you're right. What's done is done and everyone's legacy is nice and sealed .

just because someone does'nt have much of a punch does'nt mean you can walk in like their ****in arms are jello, they can still push
                that's what calzaghe does
and obviously when people say he does'nt have much power does'nt mean his power is'nt above average, he is a boxer

Right on. And a fighter who is willing to trade is willing to trade regardless of the firepower coming back: ie. Morales-Pacquiao. It's just not in Jones/Hopkins' styles to do that and it has little to do with the power of their opponent and everything to do with the way they control themselves in the ring.

There's no "feelings", I'm just being honest, which is more than some of you are prepared to do because your favorite fighters were beaten by a semi-disabled Welsh bloke trained by a failed Jazz musician! BTW, Hopkins and Jones are some of my fav fighters, too.

Stop bull****ting yourself, that's all I want. Honest posts without some ****** bias.

Man, listen to yourself. I posted nothing against Joe - just pointed out that Hopkins and Jones aren't the most likely of fighters to stand and trade. Is this a fact? Yes. But look at you catching feelings like I dissed Joe. When did I do that? Nowhere. But you're so caught up in your "Defend His Honor" at all costs that you're shooting blindly. ****** Bias? Like yours?
