Margarito is meaningless for Cotto fans after he embarrassed him and KO’d Cotto
By your logic Hatton is a light welterweight so it shouldn't count and Mayweather "struggled" against Judah (as Clottey supposedly did).

I don't think Hatton was a top 5 WW at the time. Can you prove this?

Ring magazine ratings at the end of 2008 (before Mosley KO'd Margarito):

    1. Antonio Margarito
    2. Miguel Angel Cotto
    3. Shane Mosley
    4. Joshua Clottey
    5. Manny Pacquiao
    6. Carlos Quintana
    7. Zab Judah
    8. Luis Collazo
    9. Andre Berto
    10. Isaac Hlatshwayo

Cotto has fought/will fight everyone in the top 7.

Let’s get the fact correct at least.

He called out Cotto after Margarito win. Cotto beat Mosley. But Williams realized Cotto wasn’t going to fight him so he fought Carlos Q

Clottey-Cotto didn’t happen because HBO didn’t want to put up the funds.

Margarito ducked a 4 million guaranteed for Mosley instead of fighting for the ring title

Mosley wants no part of Williams

How was Hatton a ranked welter at that time? He hadn't fought at that weight in a year and a half after struggling with Collazo and reliquished his title to move back to 140 where he fought twice before moving back up for Floyd.

Baldomir was a journeyman and Judah lost to him. Obviously neither were that good and nither has beaten a top level fighter since.

He won, he didn't embarass him. And he still has that cloud of su****ion hanging over his head.

Correct Hatton had moved back to JWW for his two fights before Mayweather.

              knew it.

you never liked williams, you just use him as a ploy to defend mayweather.

                That's the end of 2008.

Mayweather fought Hatton at the end of 2007. Hatton was on the ranking but dropped right after his loss, because he said he was going to back to Jr WW

                    Who is cotto fighting next?

did that "journeyman" happen to beat the fighter cotto is fighting next? apart from that gatti and judah too? that journeyman can say proudly he was the linear welterweight champion/ the 1 recognised welterweight/unified champ. something cotto never can...instead cotto always fights for vacant belts whether at 140 and 147...these are FACTS
