Shane Mosley is Not Interested in Paul Williams, Either

This is where Williams fans get on their high horse and say that another fighter has avoided Williams because they are scared blah blah blah when really that isn't the truth.
The truth is Williams is not a draw.
Fighters like Mosley, Cotto, etc are looking for big money fights and Williams doesn't bring that to the table.
Once he builds up his name then he will start getting good fights.

Shane wants the big money, but.....
If Paul Williams beats Winky Wright, then that would make a Paul Williams fight at 147 a big fight. Shane just simply doesnt want to lose to Paul Williams. Whenever you hear a fighter say "its not a good style matchup" That means his style will make it difficult for me to win. Which means I dont think that I can beat that style.. This actually surprises me with Shane. He has a history of taking those fights that end up being "not a good style matchup".. First case in point Vernon Forrest and Winky Wright. Those were considered "not a good style matchup" and he fought them both twice anyways. So Shane deserves a pass on this excuse not to face Williams, but I have never heard the true greats like Ray Robinson, Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler, or Duran say I dont want to fight him because its not a "good style match up". Thats bullsh-t, I am tired of fighters using that as an excuse. The point of boxing is to match up the styles of different fighters to see whose style is the best. My question is what makes Hatton's style any better than Williams style? Hatton's style of boxing is wrestling and it has made for terrible hug fests!!

Shane deserves big money fights. Although paul williams is one of the best, he doesn't have the pulling power. I think pacquiao and hatton would be to small for him!

Shane and Paul
Shane backs from no challenge. He has taken risky fights but Paul's credit, no fighter wants to fight him. Margarito didn't even want to try to avenge a loss to The Punisher when rematches were given to him. Winky is only fighting him because he cannot get any other credible fight. It does not matter because Winky will probably beat him with a less than exciting fight but will use defense to outwork the youngster.

Margarito turned down $4 million to fight Williams, and fought Mosley for $2.3 million instead.
It's a myth that Williams brings no money, and that is not the reason Mosley gave for not wanting to fight him.
If Williams beats Winky there will be a lot of money on the table for any Welter who is willing to step up. But it won't be Mosley who does, he's already made it clear. He doesn't want to fight Williams because he has a bad track record against tall fighters. At least he's honest about it, unlike you.
