Shane Mosley is Not Interested in Paul Williams, Either

Place Paul Williams on the list of names that Shane Mosley has no interest in fighting. Mosley seems to be sticking to his guns. He only has three names on his list - and the three potential targets are Ricky Hatton, Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto. He would probably fight Floyd Mayweather Jr - if Floyd decides to make an official return to the ring. Last week, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer revealed that Mosley had absolutely no interest in fighting WBC champion Andre Berto. Mosley himself has gone on the record and told The Ring Online that a Williams fight is not appealing to him. Mosley does not believe their two styles will match up well. [details]

yeah but Shane doesn't strike me as a fighter who would hesitate to take a fight because there is a good chance he might lose. His resume would support this

There was little reason for Shane to fight him.

Shane wants the big money fights. I can't blame him, he did just get divorced

Then Shane won't be fighting for another year...Hatton want Marquez and Mayweather. Cotto wants Pacman/Hatton after Clottey.

Nobody at 147 want to fight P.W. He is too high of a risk for not so much $$$. That's why I give mad props to Quintana, now that's a brave fighter!

hatton shouldnt be an option , hes a jr welterweight and thats where he should stay . mosely hatton on paper isnt a competitive fight .

mosely should stick to cotto rematch or floyd when floyd returns. if paul williams can build a name somehow than that fight would make sense for shane also till then , i cant blame him.

I agree with you there. Even though I don't like Mosley because of what he's done to some of my favorite fighters- Vargas and Margarito. I do give him props, he's never back down from good fighters. I dont blame him for not taking the Williams fight- Nobody wants that fight at 147.
