It's disappointing as a fight fan but we really can't blame the guy. He's put in hard work and now at the end of his career he deserves the biggest fights.

Now the question should be why does a fighter of Mosley's caliber needs to be an opponent to a more popular fighter... well the reason is the same one that we see right now.

During the last couple of years Mosley was content with fighting the likes of Collazo, Estrada, Cruz...... but all of the sudden they are all beneath him. This is the same thing that happen when he beat de la hoya... and guess what happen, he did not exploited his fame and failed to become popular with a strong fan base. Which brings us to our current predicament. Again Shane is flying the high horse and I hope this time he doesn't fall off of it.

I'm a fan of his skills and at his age he should stay active. Why not grab another belt and give us another showing, then he can command the millions to fight whoever is standing at the end of the year.
this is a very good post

i like shane i think he's good i think he is by far one of the best in the division

but lets be honest he's pretty much pulling a floyd move here

i think he would beat berto why not fight him there iss no one else available this is the biggest problem with boxing people becoming greedy.

Clottey is a very good boxer, with very good skills, but Coto is a bit better than him!!!!!!!!
you forgot to put Cotto gets hit alot in the face, and Clottey is very accurate. thats why its a great matchup

Shane has a valid reason to be chasing the money now that other fighters don't and that reason's name is Jin...just by seeing her personality I know she's going to squeeze as much out of him as she can in their divorce

Plus if you listen to the guy speak, he sounds like he's taken too many shots to the head and needs to pack it in before it's too late. He can't afford to take every fight that comes along.

                The money

This just shows the ******ity of some boxers. If money is what Shane wants, then he should fight Berto in June. He would collect about 3 mill for it. And he can still fight in the summer or spring, the big fights he wants. He dosent realize that while he is waiting for the big bout he could pick up a few mill, thus makeing even more money, either he is to ****** to realize this or he is afraid he would loose to Berto. I think he knocks Berto out if they ever meet.

i remeber after the Mayorga fight he said Berto is gonna be a harder fight then Margarito, because Margarito is a punching bag!! I think he just doesnt want to get down with Berto because he might lose. hes smart though, Margarito is an easier fight than Berto

Shane Mosley disappoints with his decision AGAIN!

Sugar Shane Mosley has to be one of the slowest thinking boxers in the sport. This guy holds two of the most memorable wins in the sport of boxing, De La hoya fight 1 and Antonio Margarito (Both were in their primes) & this guy (Mosley) is sitting around waiting for all of these star boxers/fighters who mind you have their own business and agendas after their fights?

Sugar Shane Mosley hasn't even been mentioned by Hatton/Pacquiao or Mayweather. His best bet would be to fight Andre Berto in the meantime get that strap and build up his name and star power to become a mega pay day & status fight for other boxers.

I figure that he would be a bad business man especially since he had his wife as his manager? While he sits on the side lines and wait, his age will catch up to him. The only fighter he has a shot at is the winner of Cotto/Clottey and that fight would happen most likely in the fall? Mosley lost a lil creditability in my eyes for this decision. He should be striking while the iron is hot. At this point in his career HE SHOULD BE THE BIG $ FIGHT!!!!!!! Shane is an idiot.
