but cotto is fighting a bigger guy than him (clottey) again. he aint waiting for anybody. mosley should fight berto and not wait til the end of the year. imagine cotto vs mosley 2 cotto with the wbo and maybe ibf titles and mosley with the wba and wbc titles. its what us boxing fans dream about, a true champion

I just dont see Cotto beating Clottey if Clottey comes correct....Jennings was f'n pushover who had no right fighting for a title at all........it was the greedy WBO who just wanted sanc $$$$....Cotto looked "decent" against a wack ass opponent.....i really wished he would've fought someone at least ranked in the top 5 or top 10 for that matter....although it earned him another belt (vacant by the way), we as boxing fans are left with a lot of unanswered questions regarding Cotto......

Ill disagee here. Tell who Clottey has beated on the level of Cotto. I can tell you 3 or 4 guys that cotto has beated in the level of Clottey. Styles makes fight, and Clottey doesnt throw enough, plus the fact that his biggest weaknesses are Cottos biggest strengths!!!!!!!!!1

This is disappointing to hear from Shugs. I know he deserves big money fights after all he's achieved, but flat out refusing to fight a young guy who has a belt ready to be unified is a bit classless IMO. I expected better from him.

Ah well. Perhaps he can wait for the winner of Cotto-Clottey at the end of the year?

I see the logic in mosley's eyes, he probably feels he's worked hard in his career and wants only big fights now he is gettin on..berto isnt a big name and Shane wud probably go into the fight as the favourite...i think mosley enjoy's either being doubted or being the underdog, helps with his motivation..i think being an underdog or big money fights are the only thing tht will make him jump out of his seat...but he isn't seeing the bigger picture...he wants cotto...cotto is fightin clottey...like other's have said he shud fight and beat berto to make a unification fight more appealing...if he wins and fights the winner of the clottey/cotto fight it will b massive...especially if cotto wins it..bcus the history between the two would be hyped.....there is no point in mosley waitin around for big fights wen he is clearly good enough 2 force them 2 happen...i see him tlkin bout the winner of the pacquiao/hatton fight...i dont think tht fight would even happen, i cant see either guy rly wantin 2 go there..neither wud have any real reason 2 want 2 fight mosley..he shud concentrate on his own w8....but his reagerness 2 fight the smaller guys and reluctance 2 fight berto may give the impression that he wants a fight he's almost certain he can win....but i think he may see berto as a high risk/low reward fight...he has ignorned the bigger picture cus i think he's certain whoever wins out of clottey vs cotto will want to fight him anyway...so why bother fight berto?..and hatton or pacquaio..miss me wit da foolishness.

You can thank people like DLH for this kinda ****. Even though the right thing to do for Shane is to fight Berto and unify, he'll take the Oscar route, not give a **** about the sport and just fight for the most amount, no matter what that does to the sport.
