exactly. Which fighter was it that said something like "a fighter becomes better after a loss, because it brings them back to reality." it was something like that

      If Floyd fights and beats....

Cotto - He was ruined by Margarito. (Or by plaster according to the morons.)

Margarito - He was ruined by Mosley, he ain't **** without plaster

Mosley - He was too old.

Williams - He was weight drained

Pac - Too small and overrated.

JMM - Too small and overrated.

If Floyd comes back, his haters will never give him credit anyway.

Cotto.. I will Think Floyd has balls of steel.. because he will need them to win this fight.. regardless of Plaster Fists did to Cotto.. Cotto has just enough of everything to give Mayweather fits.. Floyd would win.. But I can assure you he will be uncomfortable in doing so..

Margarito. Fraud.. nothing to see here

Mosley.. yeah he is too old.. But he has all the skills STILL to test Floyd.. SO if Floyd Fights him.. I wont say Mosley is too old.. In fact I will call it Floyd's greatest victory

Williams.. An easy night for Floyd.. So not really any respect gained there.. Its all about accuracy.. (not weight).. Floyd has Tons of accuracy.. Williams has none..

PAC.. Not too small.. faster hands.. Plus the southpaw stance... and serious pop in his punches.. A fight if Floyd wins.. garners more respect than beating Mosley

JMM.. too small.. for real.. and probably not good enough.. No respect gained..

So you see.. The problem is not the excuses.. It;s that no one even has a chance to make the excuses.. because Floyd won't fight these guys..

I agree with S a m u r a i, I have mad respect for his skills, he have true great skills, but his lack of proving how great he is, is what keeps me on the non fan side. Plus the way he carries hmself, saying his greater than Robinson and Ali and his childish acts, its what makes me dislike him. I hate that type of personality, thats why I hated HEctor Camacho.

Anyways if he fights does guy I mentined above, or atleast Pacquiao and either Mosley or Cotto, hell get my respect as a fan!!!!!!!!!!!!
        Answer this question for me?

Why do you care so much about floyd's legacy..but you dont trip on cotto's legacy when he is almost 30 years old and has no legacy yet compared to great fighters of his era?

where was your outrage for jennings?

but you complain if Floyd fights JMM!

Where was your outrage for cotto when he fought gomez?

but you are outrage and complain if floyd fights hatton!

So why is this so my puertorican cotto fan?

Face a combination of Cotto, Williams, Margarito, Pacquiao, Mosley. Hell i can honestly say that if he wins beats 2 or 3 of those fighters that i would put him in my top 20 all time no question. And if he were to lose to 1 or 2 i would say i respect for finally stepping up but falling short. Now his nuthuggers who think he is a god i would enjoy blasting! i honestly dont have anything personal against floyd!

if you think this you are either blind or very ******. If floyd beat Mosley, you know that would be the greatest victory of his career. If he beats Cotto, everybody would say that floyd beat a prime WW fighter, and that would probably be his greatest victory.
And if people would say pacquiao is overrated, the they are dumb. he is #1 p4p in the world, and if floyd wasn't retired, he would be ahead of Mayweather in p4p status.

if he beat any of those 3, then those would top his boring career best win, against DLH

and the racism **** i ****** to say because he is black. My favorite boxer right now is Bernard Hopkins, and he is the blackest you can get. Im mexican/filipino. I give credit to where it is due, and Mayweather doesn't deserve full credit in my book.

If he was to come back and 2 of the following three fighters (Pacquiao, Mosley, Cotto) then he would get my respect, win or lose. Thats why De La Hoya gets more respect out of me then Mayweather, because all he did was fight the best time after time. Win or Lose.
i agree, excellent post, thats why delahoya, bhop, mosley are legends.

because miguel Cotto is 28 years old turning 29, and he is not retired dummy. Even if Miguel Cotto retired, he wouldn't get bashed because the guy is humble. Floyd Mayweather retired saying he is the greatest ever, when Ray Robinson has losses that **** on Mayweather resume.

Plus miguel did 2 things that Mayweather wouldn't.
                  He fought Mosley
                  And he fought Margarito

and it doesn't matter if he won or lose, it matter that he stepped up to the plate.

are you forgetting cotto fought margarito and mosley, just mosley is better than any name on floyds resume.

and for the record, if floyd fights cotto and beats him it would be like bhop beatin trinidad. floyd would get major respect from me
