if you believe this... then you should feel proud of yourself...
because you my friend are a great trooper for the i believe in the bull**** i hear squad...
because at 29 Mayweather was p4p#1 in the sport..
what is cotto @ 29?
dont ever compare cotto accomplishments with mayweather
because that lets everybody know you dont know what the hell your talking about....
p.s
that post was for PRchamp
I never said that Cotto was Better then Mayweather, i was stating that Cotto fought two people that Mayweather ducked to retire. And Mayweather was number 1 because HOPKINS LOST!!!!
If Cotto isn't know where near FLoyds status as you are making it seem, then why the hell is Floyd ducking him?? and dont say money because that will make you sound like dumb, and dont say Cotto isn't ready because he is about to be 29 years old like you stated.
Why do you care so much about floyd's legacy..but you dont trip on cotto's legacy when he is almost 30 years old and has no legacy yet compared to great fighters of his era?
where was your outrage for jennings?
but you complain if Floyd fights JMM!
Where was your outrage for cotto when he fought gomez?
but you are outrage and complain if floyd fights hatton!
So why is this so my puertorican cotto fan?
First, The jennings fight was a confidence builder after a beatdown. i called it BS when they put that title on the line that was really bull****. I never say anything about Floyd fighting hatton, in fact i think besides Castillo and Judah, hatton gave Floyd the most trouble, it was a good win. Gomez was a ecent opponent, who was never KD before Cotto and he fought as high as SMW.
Second, it will be hard for Cotto to be a ATG, do to his body type. he have te height and reach of Pacquiao, but his body is too chobby. He is a huskie guy. It will be hard for him to move in weight. The highest weight he ould go up is 154, and he will be small as **** for the weight, and if he moves to MW hell be a fat MOFO at the weight.
So in realty, the only way for Cotto to be a ATG is if he clears the WW division and by that i mean, beating Clottey in june 13th, beating Mosley again, beating margarito in a rematch, beating berto and another up and comer. Or he beat half the guy i mentioned and win at least 2 belts at 154.
Does he have the skill to do it? Hell yes. but it will be hard as **** to do it!!!!!
because miguel Cotto is 28 years old turning 29, and he is not retired dummy. Even if Miguel Cotto retired, he wouldn't get bashed because the guy is humble. Floyd Mayweather retired saying he is the greatest ever, when Ray Robinson has losses that **** on Mayweather resume.
Plus miguel did 2 things that Mayweather wouldn't.
He fought Mosley
And he fought Margarito
and it doesn't matter if he won or lose, it matter that he stepped up to the plate.

are you forgetting cotto fought margarito and mosley, just mosley is better than any name on floyds resume.
and for the record, if floyd fights cotto and beats him it would be like bhop beatin trinidad. floyd would get major respect from me

We have alredy talked about this Horus!!!!!!!
look i am a fairminded person... but how do you know what cotto limitations are unless he trys it...
I thought floyd could not go past 140 at one point in time until he proved me wrong...
thats what makes fighters great.. when they do things we dont expect them to do...
and you are right we have had this discussion before...but your excuse for cotto to me is not a good excuse because it doesnt involved cotto daring to be great like many fighters before him did...
basically you saying if he moves up he wont have the advantages he has at WW....
well guess what thats when skill comes in...
if cotto is good as you portray him to be on these boards he should be able to win fights when he doesnt always have the size advan.

Wrong there.
Im not saying he wont have advantages, Im sayng his body wont allow him to keep his skills if he moves to MW or SMW. i mean, can you imaging Floyd fighting at SWW, but actually make weight at 154 and at fight night 162? Hell be a fat mo fo, slow ass ****. Does that mean, he is not skill? hell naw, but its just his body is of s JWW-WW, jus like Cotto
Or can you imaging Floyd trying to make 135 right now, hell drain himself, and hell be chinny because of weight drain. Does that mean he is chinny? no, but again Weight will give you that impresion.
If Cotto goes up to MW and wins a title and his body looks great Ill be surprise. I mean Cotto was 155 pounds when he was 13. So make your own conclusions!!!!!!

do you think 13 pounds would affect cottos skill set that much????
cotto walks around at 170 and you said he was 155 at the age of 13....
So I agree with you that If Cotto goes up to MW and wins a title Ill be surprise...because that would mean he exceed expectations that boxing fans like your self has put on him....
but guess what???
thats what great fighters do...they exceed expectations...
they do things the real good fighter can not do and would not do.
like Michael Herron once wrote:
When you look pass the money, Mayweather and even the former P4P king Roy Jones are actually truer to pure boxing than most big names in the sport. These two fighters are actually marketed for their skill set, not their personalities. De La Hoya on the other hand, sells his Pay-Per-Views based on personality and charm alone, not boxing ability. Is this why we watch boxing, to see personalities joust or skills clash? When you pay to see Floyd, the expectation is that you will see the best skills in boxing. When you pay to see Oscar, there are no expectations, he could win or lose with no penalty. If Mayweather or Jones lose a fight, they lose everything. They are burdened with having to be perfect. The repercussions of Jones' losses to Tarver and Johnson is the perfect example of why Mayweather knows he can't lose. If he were to be defeated, proponents and detractors in this “unforgiving sport” would attempt to destroy everything he has fought for.
Mayweather knowing this STILL moved up 5 weight classes giving up all physical advantages to prove he was great therefore risking everything he has work for .. just to achive greatness...
so when is cotto going to decide to get out of his comfort zone and attempt greatness...
I only hold cotto to this standard because of the standards you hold for mayweather and not even realizing the standards you are giving floyd... cotto cant even meet.
