-Not everyone and their dog thought the fight should have been stopped immediately because of it which is why it went to the 12th round
    One difference you missed:

    - Morales and Pacquiao had a rematch.

I've said this about a million times already - if barrera couldn't see, he had the chance to tell the doc. The doctor was talking to him for a significant amount of time. What do you think they were talking about? Maybe the doc was asking him what fajitas are like in mexico.

Do people honestly think that barrera said 'im as blind as a bat' but the doc let it continue anyway? What a load of ****!! Barrera is an experienced pro, he should know better than to fight with a bad cut. In my eyes he's got no-one to blame but himself. He thought he could catch khan and knock him out! But, he's to small and to slow. A rematch wouldn't be any different!
You're missing the point, no matter if you've explained it a million times, which, I assure you, is not necessary because we all know the deal. It is not up to Barrera whether or not the fight is stopped, it's up to the doctor and the referee. They should ignore it when a fighter says he will carry on, because most fighters are exactly that -- fighters, not quitters. I'm sure Vitali wanted to continue against Lewis, but was it right to allow him to continue with half his face hanging off? Hell no! Instead, he is ignored, regardless of his complaint and pleas to continue, and the doctor does what he's paid to do -- ensure the fighters' health is the number 1 priority.

It's one of the worst cuts I have ever seen. There is no question about it -- it shouldn't be left up to Barrera to have to complain to get the fight stopped.

      Frankly, it's ****ing ridiculous.

Very possible. It might be kind of like the Bute-Andrade fight.

Who knows. All I wanted to see was a fair fight where the playing field is level and one fighter isn't allowed to have a huge advantage because of an accident. Doesn't matter who would win, it's about giving each fighter a fair chance.

the fight shouldve been stopped by the dr and the ref. a cut happened in the judah/clottey fight, though not as bad as MAB, but the dr called for the stoppage of the fight. zab could no longer see and mab's gash was far worse than judah's. as the above poster said these people are FIGHTERS ofc they dont want the fight to be stopped, doesnt mean that the dr/ref should allow it. the blood was flowing into a terrible spot on mab's face and they couldnt stop the blood. i mean srsly anyone who thinks the fight shouldnt have been a NC need to have their eyes checked.

I knew a rematch would be in order. Khan doesn't deserve an easy victory like this.

What's there to ***** about? It's not as if Barrera has never had home advantages, mexican/Latin referee, judges, a partisan crowd etc....

            Why *****?

Barrera knew what to expect from the fight. He CHOSE to take it on because he thought it would be an EASY fight against a chinny contender. He got outwork and outclassed. It's as simple as that I'm afraid.

The butt was accidental, it's simply not Khan's MO to do that sort of thing. I can't believe team Barrera are playing that card either. Shame.

Hey Barrera, you got made to look your age in there.

Well he won't beat Khan today, tomorrow or in a year from now. Khan is bigger, faster, improving all the time and arguably stronger too. In a rematch, you'd see a bolder Khan and a vanquished Barrera.

Barrera should just build up his record with journeymen and aim for a shot. He won't beat any legit contenders I'm afraid. I'm not being an ass but his time has come and gone.

Since when did team Barerra actually say that the clash of heads wasn't accidental?

Kinda makes me think you don't have a clue what you're talking about for some reason....

Did you read the article? Jorge, brother of Marco, said: "The butt by Khan was shameless".

I disagree with most of what Zaff101 wrote, but he got that bit right.

In that case I stand down, and Jorge is a bit of a dummy.
