Kinda makes me think you don't have a clue what you're talking about for some reason....

Oh no? What's this then? (I've highlighted it for you)

EDIT: I've just read your post.

Barrera Likely To Continue, 30 Stitches To The Cut

    By Mark Vester

According to Jorge Barrera, brother of Marco Antonio Barrera, the former three division champion is likely to continue with his career. Last Saturday in Manchester, Barrera lost a five round technical decision to UK lightweight star Amir Khan. Barrera suffered a very deep cut in the first round and the ringside doctor would not allow the fight to beyond the midway point of the fifth. Right now Marco is going on a vacation with his wife and family. When he returns, he will sit down with his team and map out their next move.

Jorge agrees with his brother, the ref should have stopped the fight in the first round because the cut was just as bad in the first as it was in the fifth. Jorge says the cut went down to the bone and his brother needed 30 stitches to close it.

During a conversation with ESTO, Jorge claimed there were all sorts of problems going, including a near brawl between Don King associate Juan Gonzalez and Khan's trainer, Freddie Roach - which may have been some issue having to do with Barrera's gloves.

"There were a lot of problems there. The butt by Khan was shameless and they should have stopped the fight. The decision should be voided but the doctors let it to continue until Marco could absolutely no longer continue and they stopped the fight," Jorge told ESTO.

    ---

Barrera's brother's words. Not mine. If Jorge Barrera has those sentiments and is acting as a REPRESENATIVE for MAB, then I'm sure Barrera feels somewhat similar.

    - EDIT, I've just read your post.

I disagree with most of what Zaff101 wrote, but he got that bit right.
Nothing to disagree about bro. I'm trying to be as objective as possible here and all I've done is state the facts.

MAB knew EXACTLY what he was getting himself into; fighting a chinny contender on his home turf with the dice loaded in Khan's favour. MAB saw Khan as a stepping stone to the title (again) and Khan viewed it in exactly the same way.

You don't know that MAB underestimated Khan, that's just your opinion. He stated many times that he wasn't going to focus on his chin. And we'll never know what would have happened if he hadn't got cut. It's easy for an athletic young fighter to look for less than a round; and after the cut, MAB couldn't judge distance any more, so you can't draw any objective conclusions whatsoever about whether Barrera could or couldn't beat Khan in a fair fight over 12 rounds.

Frazier barely landed a punch on Ali for the first 4 rounds of their first fight, but started to catch up with him in round 5, and from then on it was a war of attrition.

All your speculations about what would happen if they fought again is just that: speculation; not fact, and not objective.

As for the incompetent referee and doctor, if you're saying he knew that they would be incompetent because you think all British fight officials are incompetent, then I consider that to be a completely unjustified slur on British officiating in general.

Also, King carried out the negotiations, not MAB. It is normal in major fights in Britain involving non-British fighters for an international referee and judges to be used. The fact that King didn't negotiate that for this fight shows he didn't have Barrera's interests at heart. You should blame King for that, not the fighter.
