I think the OP was looking for the most pure boxers of all time, which Robinson is, he mixed his pure boxing with some unorthodox moves, whereas Jones was just plain unorthodox, similar to Ali except Ali had better fundamentals.

Yep, it was skilled fighters I meant. Not just "pure" boxers though, many inside fighters have been very skilled.

Man, Ali was not the most skilled boxer of all time. He is not even in the top hundred most skilled. The fact is that wasn't that skilled as such. You know, learned boxer? He made so many mistakes it was ridiculous!

He had a terrible boxing foundation. He moved straight back, couldn't block, or slip.....etc etc. He was not the most skilled. Physically gifted yes, greatest skilled boxer, no.

For pure orthadox boxing skills, Tyson has to be up there. He had all the basics perfected. Hands up, slipping to the side etc.
