1 Muhammad Ali
2 Sugar Ray Robinson
3 Sugar Ray Leonard
4 Marvin Hagler/Thomas Hearns(Tied)
5 Roy Jones jr/Bernard Hopkins(Tied)
Honorable Mentions: Prime Mike Tyson, James Toney, Vitali Klitschko, Sugar Shane Mosley.. -
I'm an Ali fan but I don't find him to be the best boxer of all time, he was great no doubt but he was unorthodox. Same for Jones, very unorthodox.
Robinson
Pep
Lopez (this could be a little bit of a controversial pick but Lopez was among the best pure boxers I've ever seen)
Leonard
Maybe Tunney or Charles.Comment

Man, Ali was not the most skilled boxer of all time. He is not even in the top hundred most skilled. The fact is that wasn't that skilled as such. You know, learned boxer? He made so many mistakes it was ridiculous!
He had a terrible boxing foundation. He moved straight back, couldn't block, or slip.....etc etc. He was not the most skilled. Physically gifted yes, greatest skilled boxer, no.Comment

You will find that the majority of the "Best" boxers were unorthadox.
Thats what seperates you from the rest, so your not average.
Anyone can hold their hands up and slip to the side, it takes something special to do something very different.Comment

I think the OP was looking for the most pure boxers of all time, which Robinson is, he mixed his pure boxing with some unorthodox moves, whereas Jones was just plain unorthodox, similar to Ali except Ali had better fundamentals.Comment
