Marco clearly gave word that he could continue.

All this conspiracy crap is absolute nonsense.

Yeah this should have, would have nonsense is silly. They fought, Khan outclassed him from the opening bell, and would surely have shut him out 120-108 (or similar) or perhaps a late KO.

Any one not seeing that is being unfair, with dubious motive.

Depends who's doing the rating. It's being seriously under-rated by many of the posters in this thread.

We all knew that before the fight, but most people in the threads on here still said that even a shell of Barrera would win easily. Boy do people have short memories.

Because his defence, lateral movement, jab and overall boxing fundamentals were all far better than before he teamed up with Roach, as I predicted they would be. The Khan who lost to Prescott would also have lost tonight. And he did get hit cleanly by a very good punch at the end of the fourth, and reacted well. If you were to believe some of the posts here before the fight, even the air from a punch missing him should have knocked him out.

I disagree, but only time will tell.

His heart has never been an issue. His chin has, but I believe that under Roach his chin will be fine, provided he doesn't get pushed into fights against the elite of the division too quickly.

He should fight someone just below world class level next, IMO, like David Diaz or Alex Arthur. Then someone like Katsidis, then a rematch with Prescott, and maybe after that he'll be ready to test himself against one of the elite fighters like Funeka or Juan Diaz. And only after that should he think about Marquez.

"The Birth Of A Star" Lol, yeah right.

And people whine about Max Kellerman, this was the most horribly biased commentary I have ever heard by so called professionals.

Yeah, the commentary was so exaggerated, kinda funny if you ask me.

iv got the fight here recorded and at no point is khan hurt.. iv counted 2 solid punches from mab and khans chin somehow took them and he actually began to throw combos back at barrera after those 2 punches..he showed tonight that he has really good movment and that he can avoid alot of whats coming his way and the rest he now knows how to take on the gloves.. His speed with the good bit of power he has will give any and every fighter serious serious trouble! mix that with the defense i saw tonight and i really do see him going all the way..those rounds with manny are definitly working. im looking ford to his next fight.

According to your standards, Henry Armstrong was a below average fighter, and Archie Moore was the greatest fighter of all time.

How well a boxer ages does not determine their ATG rating, and never did.

Barrera is an ATG, one of the greatest Mexican boxers ever. He, Morales and Marquez will be ranked about equally in the ATG lists.

i realy dont think this can be classed as a good win for Khan, it remains a fact that for 5 of the 5 rounds Barrera had a valley sized gash in his head splurting with blood, as good as khan looked even the khan fans have to admit that was a major reason khan looked as good as he did, when the blood was clear the fight was very diffrent, a rematch is needed. and i dont think Barrera was shot or 50 % just a gash like that is gona effect you in a big way
