I feel bad for Berrera. Its gotta be hard to be forced out like that when your heart wants to fight on.
Cong**** to Amir Khan on by far the biggest victory of his career. He is still chinny as hell, and unless moving up in weight improves that he is destined for a hot and cold career.

If Marquez turns old by then, that would be unfortunate, but if Khan steps up to that level in class before he's ready, that would be terrible for his long term career, IMO. And Marquez may well age as well as Mosley has, in which case June 2010 would be fine. At this point, Marquez is a huge step up from Barrera, much too big a step up for him to be ready this year. Although a peak Barrera was at least as good as a peak Marquez, IMO.

Small and 35 as JMM is, Khan has to have a decent shot in another 18 months time-making JMM 36.5 and increasingly worn.
You are a promoter in the making. Mid next year would be a huge Marquez vs Khan fight in Las Vegas. It can't be too far removed from Khan's win tonight, you know what I'm saying. What if Khan can secure a Morales fight before the Marquez showdown????

I caught that also, RJJ used to do the same. Manny and RJJ got it from roosters in ****fights... Sabong!

With Khan and Manny in the same stable.. what do you expect?

I like both fighters but, props to Khan, Speed Kills!

I thought Erik Morales was retired? Unless someone else is slipping my mind (its 02.40 am!).

A lot of decent names are much older and smaller then him at LW, he's got a good shot against most of them. Casamayor is 37, and past it. He's a ****er-so can f*** Khan up if he lands-but the name may be worth the gamble.

Erik just made the announcement that he will be back perhaps against Marquez. How about a fight against Khan first?!?

Dude coming of 4 losses, Khan has to fancy it.

That said, they may want someone 'safer'-I think they'll go for David Diaz, Amir would run him around for 12. He was pot shotted by Manny, and Khan is as fast-and has an overwhelming size advantage.
