NO idea why people trip out when people give up. Sometimes you are just seriously outclassed and just flat out get your ass beat. For us fans, its easy to talk ****, but them guys are the ones feeling all them brutal hits. Sometimes i am glad some guys just say, ok i did my best and you are just better today. It eases the risks of seriously getting hurt.

Overrated??? it so happened that MAB was not the winner to make it fairly rated in your pesonal views.

I really don't think Khan could possibly be ready for that level of opponent that quickly. Two fights ago, he was fighting like an amateur. He looked good tonight, but against a very small lightweight who is a shell of the fighter he once was, and the cut helped him as well, although he'd probably have won by a shut-out UD if it hadn't been for the cut.

Unfortunately (in my opinion), according to another poster in this thread, that does seem to be the timescale Warren has in mind. But from the point of view of Khan's career, I think it's much too rapid a jump in class, when he's only recently started to learn the fundamentals.

If he fights every 3 months, as he has been doing so far, then I think he'll be ready for that level of opponent around June 2010.

Marquez is just as small as Barerra and he IS 35 years old. I understand your point though. Maybe mid next year if Marquez doesn't turn old, but if he did turn old then what fun would that be, it would be like Khan vs Barrera all over again, catch my drift???

Only Warren knows the masterplan for sure, we can speculate based on what he says.

He said title fight by end of this year (interview on bbc)-so they are thinking big.

Small and 35 as JMM is, Khan has to have a decent shot in another 18 months time-making JMM 36.5 and increasingly worn.
