I'm not saying Bernand was definitly not in his prime, but a lot of people say that. Good facts.

he probably wasn't in his technical prime yet but he was in his physical prime.

very few fighters are in their physical and technical primes at the same time anyway.

most the time fighters start working on their technique more after their physical tools start slipping.

roy was about to jump to heavyweight by the time joe became the #1 ranked super middleweight.

            joe didn't even make ring's p4p list 'til 2006.

calzaghe nuthuggers always tries to change history around.

get it through your fucking heads , ****s.

joe calzaghe didn't do much in his whole career and the little that he did do he didn't accomplish 'til 2-3 years before he retired.
Joe is criticized for fighting "nobodies" but then you call him a "nobody back then" so how was he supposed to make a fight with Jones back then in their "primes"?

What "big name" "prime" fighter's should Calzaghe have fought???

There's nothing Calzaghe can/could do to prove himself to idiots like you, besides lose. It just burns y'all haters that Joe is retiring undefeated with victories over the only other MW-LHW (Hopkins and Jones) of his generation that can claim to be as great as Calzaghe. Learn to deal with it because you can't change history no matter how many hate post y'all make about the great Joe Calzaghe!

            Calzaghe > Jones > Hopkins

Ali was the king of the heavyweights and Joe likewise is god of his realm, so that automatically puts him up there with the greats like SRR and Ali.

People hate but they cant fk with Joe, they can't fk with him because hes the best boxer to pair a lace of gloves in the last 40 years. Especially the armchair fat yank critics; they probably piss themselves when they hear the name Joe. lol

Hopkins has lost 5 times and got whooped by Joe Calzaghe himself, no way in hell is he greater.
No worries though because the record stil stands; 46-0-0.

after da Hopkins fight he is now known as "joke cal-slappy, average joe, white hope, slap boxing champ, paper champ......"the man is 45-1 git it right! Hokins won that fight! Hopkins threw 10 punches & landed 7 a round while joe threw 60 & laned 5..that shows you the skill Hopkins has & not the uneffective aggression that joe was...

im sorry, calzaghe is not greater than hopkins and jones. calzahe got his shine off getting a lucky decision against hopkins and beating a shot roy jones in less impressive fashion than tarver and johnson beat him. and before those fights, his 2 other significant victories were kessler and lacy.

i respect joe for his longetivity...but he is not an all time great fighter..greater than hopkins and jones? no way.

i also hate his technique. he reminds me of carlos maussa when he fights...

boxers greater than calzaghe from the last era are hopkins, jones, mayweather, pacquiao, marquez, barrera, morales, tito...

It's called chasing the champ idiot. Something Joe never wanted to do.

                      Jones > Hopkins > Calzaghe.
