i dont think its entirley fair to say that all these were greater fighters than Joe as he can only fight who will fight him or who is there to fight and to be fair he did and beat them all, his record was flawless, yes it may be true the abover had better names on there record(at least they were big names in the USA) and it seems that you can only have had a great career if you fought in the US and all europeans are bums which isnt true, Joe had some great fights with very good boxers, im not saying he is better than these guys but he at least falls in line with them,Lennox though was not better than Calzaghe, Vitali was beating him hands down. Ppl should stop this meaningless hate towards calzaghe its crazy, i dont get it at all, credit where credits due, wether he makes it to the Atg list or not he deserves respect for a formidable record and career

the problem with joe is not fighting americans. he fought a lot of americans. his biggest win was probably a european , kessler.

problem is joe did not fight anyone of note for over a decade. when there's no big name fighters in your division then you have to unify to get people to notice you. why joe waited over a decade to do so is beyond me. blame warren. blame him. doesn't matter.
