viva mexico!!!
JMM fight with diaz was totally great!he destroy diaz in a perfect way.Yeah you're right marquez could be the best p4p,that if pac is not on his way.But now pac is still the best p4p out there who can destroy anyone who fights him..give pac a fight w/ hatton, mosley, cotto, margarito or even the marathon runner gayweather and he will give us a great fight that will be remember for decades..as we watch him destroying all his opponents in a way that no one can ever do even marquez. It just that marquez is a great champion but he is too ambitious to say that he is the best p4p and want to challenge Gayweather,it just that an act of desperation.
does he really need money or he just want a respect?maybe JMM did great w/ diaz but it's not enough to say that he is the best p4p.It's still a long way for him..how about a rematch w/ barrera or a fight w/ morales because this two great legends are not as easy as diaz or casamayor. His fight w/ MAB was full of controversy,MAB should won that fight after he knocks JMM in rd 7..MAB should won that fight 115-113.MAB is calling JMM for a rematch,JMM should take it before his future plans of fighting pac and gayweather..
it's too early to enjoy JMM 'coz it's still a long way to go.JMM didn't destroy MAB the way that pac did.PAC fought all the greats out there including MAB,EM,JMM,Ddiaz,ODLH,jorge solis, oscar larios(now the current WBC feather weight champ) and hatton(the next victim).and I want to say that a fighter like diaz and hatton who keeps on coming is just too careless and don't have any other strategies but just to keep on coming until they caught you.I know marquez will win because diaz is not a thinking fighter he just keep on punching w/o using his brain. If pac fought diaz maybe rd4 or 5 is long enough.I respect JMM but not the way I respect MAB and EM,because JMM can't accept defeat unlike the other two legends.
I want to see JMM fight MAB again,Nate campbell and joan guzman and a fight w/ EM will be a dream fight for me..I pick EM will win against JMM via UD.for PAC there are plenty to choose out there after his fight w/ hatton there is Mosley, cotto,Gayweather and even margarito. So why picking JMM?if there are more great fighters out there to choose and make money?JMM is just an option for Pac,and not his priority 'coz he already defeat JMM.Cong**** for JMM and JMM die hard fans,it's still a long way to go.=) God bless us all!Comment

Does anyone know how much he got against Diaz and Casamayor? It's about time he started to get the million or more fights every time. He has had a long, hard career and never had the crowd attraction and backing from the start like Barrera or Morales. He always had to work for his pay's and now that he is among the greatest of this era and is 35 he should be getting the big pays only.
Good on him for getting what he deserves finally. With so many guys ducking him early on, it's great that was finally able to come to the fore of the boxing world.Comment

Huh? You kidding right? Cotto is a big, solid 147 pounds who himself admits that he will eventually be going to 154. 140 he too small for him and he was constantly drained and he is a perfect 147 at his size. Marquez is still basically a SFW type fighter. He's not even a decent sized LW.
Cotto would be way too big for him. Pointless fight anyway. So, Cotto wins? What then? What does that do for either guy? Nothing.
The only big fights left are the Pac rubber-match, maybe a Hatton fight depending on the outcome of the Hatton/Pac fight or maybe a super-unification fight at LW to unify every single belt in the division. Even Hopkins didn't unify the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, IBO, NBA, ZCH, TFO, NBC, WWE, WWF, FBI, and the CIA titles. That would be something else.
Edit: What's with the sudden matching up of all these massive welterweights against Marquez. Now people want him to fight a guy that has spent the majority of the last decade at Light-middleweight and who just blew out a monstrously large welterweight? Nup.
The highest he should ever go is 140 and even that I think is pushing his body type. He just isn't a big guy for these weights. He is still a small LW. He looked very little compared to Diaz and Casamayor, who themselves were always on the smaller side at LW, even though they were natural LW's.Last edited by BennyST; 03-04-2009, 03:02 AM.Comment
