I posted this earlier, but what about this scenario?

Marquez will more-than-likely not get Pacquiao or Hatton by the summer, not Mayweather (ever). What happens IF (big IF) Barrera dominates Khan and starts talking about a title shot? Would a rematch with Barrera make sense for Marquez at that point if nothing else is available at 140???

The fight would generate some interest for sure. The first fight was close, and had a little controversy in it. Barrera would be going for his fourth title in fourth different division...and it'd more-than-likely be an exciting match-up.

This is all of course based IF Barrera beats Khan in a couple of weeks.

    Thoughts???

I'd like to see that fight too, but there'd be more money in it for Marquez in a Barrera rematch. Plus, with Guzman you got more of a risk of being derailed because of his awkward style that makes you look bad...even if you were able to beat him!

If I were any fighters manager I would never look to fight Joan Guzman. Guzman has a reputation for pulling out of fights. He didn't make weight against Campbell and then decided not to fight. He was signed to fight Katsisdis....didn't happen. He was supposed to fight Alex Arthur twice...didn't happen. I would never look to sign a fight with a guy like Guzman. Guzman doesn't have a big name at all either so it's not even like it would be a big fight except to hardcore fans.

And I also think Marquez would destroy Joan Guzman.

Call me crazy, but I still want to see Marquez-Morales lol. I know it's too late for that fight, but I still think it would be a fun match. At least while Marquez is waiting on a super fight if he doesn't get it right away.

agreed, he should fight nate campbell

I mean Hatton already said that he would fight JMM in the UK. So thats a good sign.
agreed, but i doubt jmm will want to fight in the UK

JMM should go after Urango, who is limited but very strong, he can measure a he do at 140 and win a title in the process.
also this could be a set up fight to get cotto since urango is cotto-lite

If he do good, then he can aim for bradley, JUdah,Holt, ect, ect, ect.
if he does really good he could fight cotto at a catchweight.

And if he if only looking for money, he should fight Maligmaggi and then wait for Hatton.
there's no money in malignaggi, campbell is the 3rd most recognizable 140 lber

He doeswnt have any more businnesses at 135!!!!!!!!!
actually he could fight valero or guzman

id still love to see marquez vs morales, morales shot is still better than campbell malignaggi, judah or anyone else availabe,

the best choice for me is chris john at 135 rematch for robbery redemption, then jmm moves to 140

I want to see him defend his titles. Hopefully against Ali Funeka, who should get another shot.
