I think one of the points you're missing though is that any number of fighters could have done this. Jumping up to a weight to fight one specifically picked guy that is easily beatable does not, or at least should not, count as fighting in a division.
Being in a division, actually fighting in a specific division, means going through contenders to championship level. At least it should. That's why this whole thing of "He's gone through every single division boxing has!" is absurd. Manny hasn't been a lightweight, JWW or WW. He has fought specifically picked guys that he would beat easily and moved on to the next 'target' fight.
It's an amazing feat going through that many divisions, whatever anyone says, but that alone is not in any way, shape or form enough to immediately place him even close to a top 20 or even fifty.Comment

No, Duran started his career at 120 and fought as high as Light Heavyweight, just as Manny fought as high as Welterweight. 175 is LHW, not middleweight.Comment

well he did win a title at lightweight, and is now fighting the linear champ at 140. to say he is cherry picking is false, he is moving up the weights legitimitely, delahoya was at welter but he was still ranked 1 at junior middleComment
