Pavlik's team was just looking to make excuses.

When you can't get in range, you aren't going to throw as much either. You also aren't going to throw as much when you know the person you are fighting can counter very well and has excellent defense. All of Bernard Hopkins' opponents fight at a slower pace. Even Joe Calzaghe, who was reduced to throwing a lot of pitty pat punches just so he could have Bernard get off him in the clinch.

    That's my view anyway.
I dont believe a fighter can make the other slower than what he actually is , not slower pace slower movement Cals hand speed was the same just not as many thrown thats entirly different to what Im saying with Pavlik , no snap is not about getting of or making a fighter no pull the trigger its about about the speed it travels when it does fire , Kellys punches were pushed and labored nothing had any snap on them all I could have avoided most of them they they were that slow , Im not even looking at whether Bhop was in range moved out the side or anything , Im looking purely at Kellys delivery speed after the punch was fired and how tired he got real early , I believe something was amiss with him thats not saying he wins or taking away from Bhop just that he was not right on the night .

So... Pavlik lacks class because his trainer maintains some lame ass excuse months after the fight. But Bhop doesn't because he makes his lame ass excuses immediately after the fight because he's "still in shock"? OK, gotcha. Pavlik, immediately after the fight, still in shock and all, admitted he got taken to school.

This thread can eat a ****.

He was pawing out there because he was trying to find the range. It's not like Pavlik was throwing pitty pat punches in there either. I don't even think he threw that half ass of punches. He just didn't throw because Hopkins took that range away and Pavlik couldn't fire.

He was always moving for the most part where Pavlik never had time to fire off crisp combinations like he had with other people. In the Taylor rematch, Pavlik looked sluggish at times because Taylor was moving. It wasn't the weight. When there is movement, the work rate is going to reduce and the punches aren't going to be as crisp because you are getting hit and you aren't going to fire off 100% when you can't find him imo.

Bhop is a sore loser. I'm not gonna deny it.

Pavlik admitted he got taken to school, but he blamed the elbow and was sick was partly because of it. Originally the thread was about Jack Lowe and then it kind of focused on Pavlik. Pavlik used the same excuses, but not as bad.

Jack Lowe is the one who I originally wanted to point, but it got focused on Pavlik. So yeah....

So does this mean we can expect some.. "Hopkins (insert excuse here) can eat a ****" threads in the near future?

If he gets blown out and makes a bunch of unright excuses for himself sure. That isn't likely to happen. I'll be surprised if he even fights again. Hopefully against Dawson, but I doubt it.

Mate its his trainer what do expect him to say if he feels something was wrong with his charge this aint kids playing in the schoolyard , you should put your hand at training an animal to be 110% at a given hour , you will change you mind totally to what can go wrong with an athlete and how fine a line getting everything right really is the bigger the prize the finer the line , people like Jack Lowe are more inclined to kill somebody in the gym especially their first star pupil in his first superfight than an experienced fast track trainer , I dont care what the main players say they have a right to say what ever they like they are doing it while we are nothing but lookers and talk is very cheap .
