    Pavlik's "elbow injury" can eat a ****

This video disgusts me. Jack Lowe can eat a ****. He takes every thing away from Bernard pretty much. He blames the elbow injury, the weight, and even the classic "I was sick" excuse.

Let's look at what Kelly had to say about his elbow and weight before the fight.

    About the elbow:

Dan Rafael: Kelly I read something in - I think it was in the Cleveland newspaper yesterday that you had some sort of arm injury or elbow bump or something. Could you just - I’m sure it’s nothing too serious or you wouldn’t be fighting the fight but can you just tell me a little bit about what happened with that and what’s the story with it?

Kelly Pavlik: Yeah, you know, with the local people, the media, you always say things and to a whole new level. We bumped it about maybe a month ago and had a little bruise on it but, you know, it was nothing that ice, you know, didn’t fix and, I mean, we’ve been sparring 8, 10 rounds getting ready to finish up this week or a 12 round and have had no problem with the elbow. It’s just, you know, people hear one little thing. It was a little leak, I hit it that day and that little leak turned into, you know, something big for a reporter to keep his job.

Dan Rafael: So it happened a month ago though is what you’re saying?

    Kelly Pavlik: Yes.

Dan Rafael: Okay and what elbow was it?

    Kelly Pavlik: Left.

Dan Rafael: But it’s not giving any problems right now?

Kelly Pavlik: No, not at all.
    About the weight:

Michael David Smith: Kelly, you touched on it a minute ago but can you say specifically how much do you weigh right now and is it an issue at all for you that you’re moving up in a weight class?

Kelly Pavlik: No, not at all. I've been asked that question but if you go back and look at a couple of my fights, I mean, four years ago there were stoppages. The weight to me is not a big deal at all. Like I said earlier I have more energy, I have more snap to my punches, more bounce, and going in there, I mean, it's not an issue for me. My weight right now is about 171, 172 so we're right on top of it

Although I don't think Pavlik was 100% that night, for whatever reason, there was still a clear, clear gap in class there. YOu basically had a young, tough durable guy with a lot of guts taking on one of the most highly skilled masters of the past few decades.

If Pavlik had been 150% that night, he probably could've won ONE round.

Even if Pavlik was 100%, he still would have lost just as badly. Pavlik could not handle the movement and counters of a 43 year old man. Bernard took away the jab/right hand and then overwhelmed Kelly with counters and combinations.

Pavlik's team was just looking to make excuses.

kelly lost, was outclassed. no doubt. but, even if the elbow was legit it's not like your gonna tell the oppt b4 the fight that it really is messed up so he can punch you in it all night. and this eat a **** stuff? very strange from you man. you are usually much better, and mature poster than that. i'm surprised here. bernard is no different, he like all fighters who lost have made many excuses about why! just the way it goes.

pavlik wasn't, but his trainers were. He needs to get rid of his trainer, The dude is good for the basics but not good for a world champion contender.

Pavlik was really sick though, my friend had exactly wat he had three weeks ago and he could barely lift his arms. But it is still pavlik's fault, if he really was sick, he should have called off the fight.

apparently he had bronchitis, which if thats true, thats a pretty good excuse.

But even if he wasnt sick, i dont believe that the level of class between the two is that far apart. Hopkins didnt do anything that Taylor didnt do in the second fight outside of the holding. Ppl say that lateral movement and athleticism bother Pavlik, but if that was the case he would of been outboxed by Taylor the second time.
