The ref definetly did not have a good night, missed the punch that caused the cut, let all that **** happean in the 7th (one way or the other he should have made a clear cut call), and the point deduction was very very soft (it also ended up costing Martinez his well deserved victory peope should complain more about this imo).

It was like watching a movie but hey sometimes truth is stranger then fiction.

yeah you're right man, I totally forgot about about the point deduction later on. This ref was just a punk and he was probably drunk as **** anyway. It's his fault for letting that **** happen, he sucks at his job plain and simple. I'm not a member of the Sergio Martinez fan club but the guy got screwed out of a W in more ways than one.

The ref could have collected the scorecard because tehre was mass confusion~ so like they did not get messed up. It was not the ref that said it is over also, the ref was only talking to Cintron saying there was no headbutt.

I am not denying that Cintron is a joke, that he should have lost or that the ref did a ****ty job, I just did not see him knocked out (as called by this ref, whould other refs have called it a knockout certainly)

yeah man Roger got in the ring cause he was about to slap the **** out of someone, not cause the ref waved his arms and gave the impression the fight had been called. 2 totally different sets of circumstances. we need to get someone who saw the fight live and see if the people in the house that night all thought it was over....

UUM, in other note , what about if the fight would end up in that round with the ko, cintron would have a valid point that he was up at the 10 count? and what would ppl would be saying?

i would still say the ref wasn't on point, but i gotta say that Cintron shoulda got up at 8 or atleast started too if he was determined to fight on.

I feel that the main difference between Sergio and Joe is that Sergio throws SHARP, straight punches, and Joe didn't.
