100% you can read the long thread where I made this argument the day after the fight I will bump it for you since I do not feel like making the same case again. I have seen the situation like 20 times ( I watched the fight 4 times and I think they show about 5 replays).
If it is that close I believe the fighter deserves the benefit of the doubt, if he staggered or stumbled when he got up the ref for sure would have called it.
If the ref said it was a knockout I would have no beef at all, because Cintron took his fate in his own hand when you get up inbetween 9 and 10. To me the ref never ended the fight in any way so if the ref says he got up he got up.
On the subject though, I can see why people would compare Martinez and Calzaghe. Most of their real similarities come in the way they clown around though, like dropping your hands, putting on a dumb face and snapping out a hard southpaw jab. Joe is light years away from this guy though, especially in the area of footwork and putting shots together.Comment

Everybody saw what the ref did, but the guy did a bull**** job so I refuse to give any credit to his decision making that night. Was it officially a KO? Obviously not. But that night the term "official" had no weight cause the damn ref was a clown. Cintron got clipped and then stayed on a knee with the ref counting in his face. If he didn't want to get KOed he should of got up at 8 or sooner instead of trying to tell the ref it was a headbutt, which it clearly was not. If people get in the ring and the man gets the cards the fight has got to be over. The whole thing was just ridiculous. I was watching this fight with some people who don't normally watch boxing and they were just like "what kind of sketchy **** is this?".

The ref definetly did not have a good night, missed the punch that caused the cut, let all that **** happean in the 7th (one way or the other he should have made a clear cut call), and the point deduction was very very soft (it also ended up costing Martinez his well deserved victory peope should complain more about this imo).
It was like watching a movie but hey sometimes truth is stranger then fiction.Comment

Cintron is a clown now and made himself look like a joke, but that does not change my point of view of what I saw. He also fought like he was there for a paycheck after round 2 he never looked like he was really trying to win.
The ref did a ****ty job sure, but he did not call it a knockout.Comment
