    Not even close.

Chavez never got knocked down until much later in his career, much less lose.

I'm not going to front like I know a whole lot about Lopez, other than he was undefeated. So that, I cannot call.

    But Chavez?

Dude isn't even past Morales or Barerra.

If you'll just see me avatar, you'll know I'm a huge Salvador Sanchez fan, I think he would have been better than Chavez since he could box more efficiently and was a lot quicker than JCC. However since his boxing career was cut short that's why most people pick Chavez, since he accomplished more.

Nobody is gonna keep Diaz from wearing a Mexican flag on his trunks when he fights Marquez like they did when Oscar fought JCC so I think it's a difference in charisma when you compare Marquez to Chavez. Plus he has yet to enter the Mexico VS Puerto Rico rivalry which is very important when becoming an all time great in Mexico.
That type of comment signifies that you think I mean if he'll be bigger in the publics eye.

I don't care what Mexicans think about Mexican fighters. Lol. I'm talking about who will go down to the AVERAGE fan, from everywhere, as the best.

A guy from the U.K., ranking Mexican fighters, wont care about a stupis Puerto Rican/Mexican rivalry win or loss.

With Bernard Hopkins around, you might be overstating that.

The thing is Mexican fighters just never had any real crossover appeal that a lot of the ATG fighters had.

With that said we can only judge what fan's from Mexico really think.

Right, it's ******. Because he doesn't block punches with his face like Chavez tended to do?

Because he's going to be successful at a higher age because he didn't spend his whole career padding his record against people with sub-.500 records in Mexico for the first HALF of his career?

Because he used skill and speed, instead of the take three to land one gameplan?

Because he currently fighting the best opposition when he doesn't have to and could coast at the tail end of his prime, as apposed to waiting to be PASSED your prime to chase the biggest fights?

                      Ah, now I get it,

                      you simply hate Chavez.

Thanks for letting the truth out.

But no, Dinamita as wonderful a fighter as he is, is nowhere near being the greatest Mexican fighter ever.
