BTW, if I thought someone was going to surpass Robinson I'd have to actually see it. The only person I really think had any shot was Floyd, but at this point I'd doubt he does it. It'll probably be at least another 20 years before someone else with a legit shot at catching Robinson comes along. It's something intangible that put Robinson so far ahead of anyone else. Not only did he fight and beat everyone he dominated even great fighters, multiple times.
pac is a lot closer to robinson than floyd at this point.

not that it matters cause they have to fight until their 40's and beat top fighters to be even compared to srr... which i sincerely doubt.

Beating Hatton, Mayweather and Cotto would put pac at number 5 ATG at least!!!

          but why stop at Cotto?

If he beats Mosley, Margarito, Berto and Victor Ortiz from Jan 2010 to Dec 2011 then

He's number 1 fighter of all time in front of Robinson, Ali and Armstrong

You have to keep in mind that Robinson was 131-2 against the best of the best from 135-160. Basically he fought everybody, with any style and won every single round. Does Pacquiao do that? I mean nothing against Pacquiao but the answer is no.

You have to be able to put that much distance between yourself and even the other great fighters. What makes Robinson even more impressive is that even after his prime he gritted out really tough wins against naturally bigger and younger HOFers. I mean what do you want me to say? That it's something just anybody could surpass? There's a reason why this guy has been considered the greatest for about 60 years.
how does mayweather get closer to becoming the greatest of all time than manny..you are dumb..you cant justify you case by potential and manny would wipe mayweathers resume all over the floor and **** on it..

If Pac went into a time machine and defeated a prime Ali would he be the greatest of all time? Don't jinx your fighter by counting their victories before the fight has been made.

He would be in the top 5. I would already have him in the 30's, right now.

There are a number of things that can happen before he retires. It all depends on outcome of the next Phil election. Three things can happen:

                      1. He will win the election and transform himself from the most beloved athlete to the worst traditional politician in the Philippines. Then its bye bye Packy.. You wont see him in the squared circle again as he will be busy looting the town's coffers to maintain his lavish lifestyle.
                      2. He loses and blows away millions of dollars worth of campaign money (it was reported he lost 2M USD in the last election) which forces him to continue fighting. If this happens it will be a great day for boxing, and great day for General Santos City...
                      3. He loses but retires anyway (to me this is a long shot, not because I think he is goin to win the election, but because I am more definite about scenario #2)

Goin back to the topic, he needs to beat Hatton, PBF, and the lineal champ of 147 whether Mosley,Marg, or Cotto. But right now he is already in the ATG list(between 40 - 50).
