I think lettering fighters has never been a smart way to class a fighter, it is too vague and there are too many fighters to compare, you can drive yourself crazy classing fighters like that.
I would say hatton is a funny one, id say he is probably better than your average alphabet champion, but isn't quite a real pound 4 pound elite. Against the very best fighters id say more often than not he'd lose, but is capable of pulling out a win in some cases, but is also capable of losing to a good but not great world champion. So id put him between those levels
