              What makes Hatton special is his ability to draw fans and generate revenue, plus the fact that he is exciting.

              Hatton has always been the highest regarded of a weak weight division (140 pounds), largely due to his victory over a past his prime Kostya Tszyu, who retired on his stool and never fought again.

              His attempts to move up in weight have been less than successful and other than the Malignaggi fight, against an opponent who posed no threat to him, he has failed to look good in any of his subsequent fights.

              I don't put much stock into the Castillo fight because few will argue that he looked good in his previous fight with Ngoudjo. More would argue that he had lost, in fact.

                  Hatton is the undisputable World champ at 40 with five defenses of which only one (Lazcano) came against a guy who wasn't top ten in class. How high would the standard have to be for him to be considered not elite?
