I mean lets be real Hatton is not too small for the 147lbs division. Its just, like Margarito, Hatton needs to be physically bigger and stronger than his oponents, because he lacks the skills to be successful any other way at a higher weight.
I mean Hatton would of lost to Collazo if he had not caught him off balance in the first round.

Did you notice that Ricky didn't hold much at all against certain fighters like Malignaggi and Castillo? There was not as much of a need to. Hatton knew that and he uses different tactics against different fighters. That's a skill and not a one dimentional tick.Last edited by Chase8400; 01-20-2009, 05:58 PM.

No it is considered more acceptable, because Hatton is a young man compared to Hopkins. Its virtually physically impossible for Hopkins body to fight at a sustained high pace these days.
Are you joking ? Hatton did nothing but hold against Castillo and there were only 4 rounds in the fight.
Why do you think Lederman was calling him hook and hold Ricky Hatton?

Woa, woa, woa. Stop right there. I have almost all of the recent Hatton fights recorded and watch them every now and then and if you seem to mention that Lederman said he was "hook and hold" Hatton, you will also recall that the other commentators said in response that it was the opponent who was initiating the holding and not Hatton.
Either way I don't expect you to be able to see this in an objective way because you have already clearly made it apparent that your posts are more of an objective to critisize Ricky as opposed to understand others opinions.
Either way, our convo is over. -Peace.

Yeah i did see the Pavlik fight. One of the main reasons Hopkins won, because it was a snails pace.
Yeah and he replied 90% of it is Hatton, which was correct. Hatton is notorious for holding everyone knows that.
