    Pac over Mayweather.
True that. Its hard to gain the acceptance of American fans if you fight for your own countries honor. If Manny were American born and raised like DLH, he would NO DOUBT be the next PPV Blockbuster.

I think Freddie Roach knows something and I believe the Pacman can and will exploit Mayweather to the fullest extent. Mayweather is not invincible and the Pacman will prove that. JAT

      • Wait wait, Pac is a southpaw and is as fast as Floyd and hits hard as ****. It will without a doubt be Floyd's toughest fight. However, once he adjusts to Manny's style he will start dominating by the 6th. All my points will go into this one.

Manny is highly skilled and throws a ton of punches with speed, which will cause big problems. But Power? Not one punch power; it's the number he throws. If he was a devastating puncher he would have taken out that version of Oscar out quick.

Should I start listing every fighter that was past his prime that said this as well?

For example: Ali was talking mad stuff before he fought Holmes; how did that work out?

And what did Oscar say right after the fight to Freddie?

Try not to buy into the fighter's promotion so much.

Floyd says he is greater than Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson.

The one real bad part to this all was that it takes away from Manny in many ways. It's a shame, but its just the way it is.

Manny will get it back when he beats a live/prime fighter.

He will get some credit if/when he beats Hatton, but don't be surprised if posters bring up what Freddie has already been saying: Hatton was Knocked out by Floyd, so...
Aye. Whatever. Oscar, and in fact 90% of the boxing world underestimated lil' Manny. Tried to steal his thunder, and picked on a badass mother****er who they foolishly thought was an easy walkover. IDIOTS.

We told you Oscar would lose.

I'm glad he ****ed up Oscar Dollar Hoya, it was an absolute pleasure to watch.

            Thank you, Mr. Pacquiao.

Because Diaz wasn't a great fighter and Oscar was DEAD. If Pac had fought Oscar at a healthy weight of 154, so he could hydrate to 164+ and fought...and Manny still did that to him; yeah, that would have been something.

It's too early to tell how much Manny improved. Diaz wasn't a fast fighter or a great, let alone very good boxer that could use timing and angles to counter him.
The things that beat speed are Timing with properly placed counters, along with a solid jab. Power helps as well...but the others are better.

If Pac had to fight at 130 right now; how would he look?

So you are going to take the advice of a judge instead of others?

How many bad decisions have these judges made? They aren't perfect.

Not sure on the judge though...do you have back info on him?
Was he a fighter, trainer, or something?
                It would help.

Anyway, the point still goes along with what Roach said about Oscar which was basically, Manny fought a dead man.

The Diaz fight would be better to discuss. Speed was what Diaz said, which is also what I think was part of the problem with Oscar as well, even though I still go along with Freddie's point of view with Oscar: he can't pull the trigger and the weight thing.

The speed could also bother Floyd at this point in his career; especially with the inactivity. It's like taking a baseball player after two years off and having him play in his first game against active pitchers; how will he react?

OH, and the fact that this judge said Pac can hold his own with the other Welterweights just hurt his and your case. Even Freddie said he isn't ****** to keep him in against Welterweights.

It doesn't mean Manny will win most of his fights against the top WW when he said Manny will hold his own against them. He will definitely give a good account of himself, in winning or losing. You might think that a Marg fight is murder 1, but I see Manny running rings around him all night. Pacman will get knocked out if Marg can find him, there's an if there, and Manny won't just go down and lay dead from 1 shot, it will take more than to keep this man down.

You brought up timing, timing is anticipating someone's moves, how can you anticipate someone's move/moves if he himself doesn't know what he'll do next? Pacman is a geometrical nightmare, he's not your ordinary orthodox fighter. He will try to overcome his opponent by coming from different angles, he will offer different looks, he will make you feel like you're surrounded, just like what Oscar felt that fateful night. Floyd's slick style might be rare, but I'm sure Freddie can find someone to simulate his moves, which I couldn't say the same for Floyd's camp if this fight pushes through. He won't see anything like it come fight night, much to his dismay...

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, if Manny can prove that, Floyd can disprove that notion as well...
