    you're driving me nuts.

we keep going over the same thing over and over again.

we're not gonna change each other's minds.

    okay.

i'll answer you then i'm done.

manny will come in at around 146-148.

floyd last time at 147 comes around 149 or so.

that said......what's pac's guarantee that when they weigh in at 147 that floyd won't come in at 155 fight night?

see that's my problem. yes he came in at 149 before. but that was before.

if they fight at 147 and manny comes in at 146-148 and floyd fights at 155 i'd be pissed.

weighing in at 140 is no guarantee that floyd won't do that but it's better than 147.

    get it?

fact is floyd can make 140. let the fight be at 140.

asking a natural 126 guy to fight at 140 is bad enough. asking him to fight at 147......well he's no better than oscar.

in fact he's worse. at least oscar went down from 154 to 147.

this ain't your blog. it's a forum. i don't have to agree with you. i think you're wrong.

this is NOT the 50's anymore. cutting weight is part of the sport.

is pacquiao a natural welterweight? is pacquiao even a natural super lightweight?

it's pretty safe to say that 148 that pacquiao came in at this week is the biggest pacquiao can get. floyd is taller and has a bigger frame than manny.

who's to say he's not gonna come in at 155? just because he weighed in at 149 last year? if the fight gets made next year it'll have to be after the hatton fight.

can you tell me floyd will still be at 149 the same way he was 2 years after his last fight at 147?

      pacquiao is a lightweight champion.

      mayweather is a welterweight champion.

what's wrong with meeting in the middle? and if manny beats ricky then it'll be for the 140 belt.
Who is to say? How about so far Floyd hasn't come in at 155. Is it possible the two years isn't going to allow Floyd to fight at his best weight again...it's possible...but what does that say about Floyd? It means, he is no longer at his best physically.

Plus, you can always put a cap on the weight by fight time in the contract. Cap: 149.

Funny how Pac fought Oscar at 147. Why can't he fight Floyd who is smaller than Oscar? Oh wait, never mind...Floyd is actually two pounds heavier than the corpse that showed up against Pac. Good job Freddie for Calling it and you deserved what you got Oscar for being greedy.

FLOYD KNOCKED RICKY THE **** OUT. Why go backwards if you are Floyd? Why the need for the 140 pound belt when you've tasted both the 147 and 154 pound belt...as well as the P4P belt.

Forget belts. It's the fighters that count. How come Manny didn't fight Oscar for a belt?

Yes, you are correct: Floyd is the better Champion. Floyd, who weighs 149 for his 147 pound/Welterweight fights, became Champion...while Manny, who was the lightweight Champion {135} had to show up at 147 to win.

The difference of a mere 2 pounds...and the difference between a lightweight fight and a welterweight fight. In fact...Floyd beat Oscar at 154 for that title when Oscar was well over 160 pounds and healthy.

I wrote it above: They can put a cap on the fight in the contract.

And how do you know a 30+ year old, inactive fighter, who hasn't had to make weight in over 3+ years, could make 140?

Why risk killing himself to make weight when this fight can be made at 147...with a cap?

          Now you understand?

How come Pac fought Oscar at 147? Couldnt have Oscar come in at 157+?

Because just like Pac; he was only there for O$car.

O$car was actually the reason Floyd kept moving up in weight. Floyd stopped at 140 to get a belt and wanted to fight Hatton, but Hatton refused twice, so Floyd moved on to his dream fight with Oscar.

Oscar wanted more from Floyd to make it a bigger fight...plus, Floyd likes to stay active...so he captured the title at 147.

It was Oscar who wanted the fight at 154 so Floyd agreed and moved up. Floyd even agreed to use the same gloves Oscar wore.

Floyd catered to Oscar...Pac didn't not. Floyd allowed Oscar to make the rules and show up healthy; Freddie did not.

Freddie was smarter, but Floyd got the better fighter and victory inside the ring. Freddie/Pac won the fight when the contract was signed.

Floyd also got a chance to fight Hatton...finally. People bashed Floyd for leaving 140 without fighting Hatton even though it was Hatton who said "NO" twice. Floyd, in the end, like it or not, knew he needed to finish off Hatton who finished off Tszyu.

freedie is the man. he has done a great job with manny. i agree with him, floyd is the best fight for manny, and it should be at 140.

                    what i understand?

that you want floyd to win this fight and you think he might lose at 140.

me? i think floyd beats manny at 147 AND 140 but 140 is where manny has the best chance.

like i said before , FOR ME? , 140 or nothing.

pac's legacy is clear. he's good financially as well.

if floyd can't fight at 140......i say fuck him...... fight hatton and marquez and call it a career.

what a great career it has been as well. much greater than floyd's.

if floyd wants to come back and ONLY FIGHT AT 147......then he should fight legitimate 147 fighters.

cotto and marg are still around.....
