just because i disagree with you doesn't mean i don't know what i'm talking about.

if floyd wants a fight at 147. he better give manny a reason to fight there.

he better go get a belt. something for manny to fight for.

just because the guy went into the ring at 147 doesn't mean he should be fighting there. fact.

what's the point of going to 147?

      both guys can make 140.

go tell floyd to get a belt at 147 and then you have a reason for the fight to be at 147.

      this is fucking ridiculous!

manny has fought 80% of his fights at 122 or lower.

he's had 2 fights above 130 , and you want him to go up to 147 again against a guy who can make 140.

      pathetic.

if floyd won't fight at 140 when he CAN and forces a natural featherweight to fight him at 147...... he's NO BETTER THAN OSCAR.
Actually: Floyd won the lineal title at 147. He was the CHAMP at 147. He was the P4P Champ when he left.

Floyd beat Ricky; the 140 pound lineal Champ.

Who says Floyd, who is in his 30's, hasn't fought at 140 in years, and hasn't had to "make weight" and has been inactive...could make weight at 140?

      YOU MAKE NO ****ING SENSE.

If both fighters are 147+ by fight time...why make a fight at 140?

PAC CAN'T MAKE WEIGHT AT 135; HE IS A MATURE ADULT NOW.

HE SHOWS UP AT FIGHT TIME AT 147; WHICH MEANS, HE IS A 147 POUND FIGHTER...who yes, can fight in the 140 pound division if he does what the rest do; dehydrates.

He held the Ring Magazine title at that weight as well.

All of the above are just as valid as the WBC, WBA, and IFB...why?

Because at the end of the day, they're all bull****. They are just belts.

You fight the Name just like Pac just fought Oscar who didn't have a title and was 3-3 in his last 6 fights going into the Pac fight.

Pac has no belts at 140.

Floyd is better than any fighter at 140. He even beat the lineal Champ in Ricky Hatton.
the only way floyd-pac happens is if manny beats hatton.

that'd mean he'll have the 140 title if he wins.

he was just at 130 8 months ago. he was just at 135 5 months ago.

if it was up to me he would never have fought at 147.

before you say he was 146 for those lightweight fights......a lot of guys at 130 or 135 come in that heavy.

            You are insulting intelligence.

Why would you make fighters dehydrate themselves to 140 if these two fighters will be 149 by fight time? Would you rather have a fighter dehydrate 7 pounds or 2 pounds? Which one do you think is safer?

LOL…a belt? Manny has no belt. What do both have in common? Floyd was the P4P King when he left a year ago; Manny is the new one because Floyd retired. At least Floyd beat the 140 pound Champ as well as holding the lineal 147 pound title.

Why fight eachother? Because at the end of the day you have to P4P fighters who are future HOF going at it. Belts me nothing.

Remember: they are fighting eachother and not another 147 pound fighter like Margarito who will blow up in weight to 160. Both fighters fight at 147-149 by fight time.

Here's some questions: What weight is Welterweight? and what weight is Jr.Welter-weight?

You are looking at it wrong. That's the division he fought in only because he was able to dehydrate himself to make weight...then; he rehydrated himself up to what is the Welterweight weigh-in: 147.

Manny is a 147 pounder on fight night; that is his weight...147.

If Fighters had to fight at their "fight-night" weight...where would Manny fight? He would fight at 147. Where would Floyd fight? If he lost two pounds, he would fight at 147.

It's the likes of Margarito and the other guys that would be moving on up.

This fight between Oscar and Manny...what were their weights come fight time?

Manny was about 149; Oscar, 147. They fought at Welterweight. What weight is welterweight? It's 147 pounds.

The First thing you have to think of is: WHO IS THE FIGHTER FIGHTING?

Manny isn't fighting Margarito...he is fighting another fighter who will weigh the same as him come fight night...he is fighting Floyd.

                Understand now?

                  whatever , benny.

i'm trying to debate you and you're gonna try to insult me?

this ain't your blog. it's a forum. i don't have to agree with you. i think you're wrong.

this is NOT the 50's anymore. cutting weight is part of the sport.

is pacquiao a natural welterweight? is pacquiao even a natural super lightweight?

it's pretty safe to say that 148 that pacquiao came in at this week is the biggest pacquiao can get. floyd is taller and has a bigger frame than manny.

who's to say he's not gonna come in at 155? just because he weighed in at 149 last year? if the fight gets made next year it'll have to be after the hatton fight.

can you tell me floyd will still be at 149 the same way he was 2 years after his last fight at 147?

                  pacquiao is a lightweight champion.

                  mayweather is a welterweight champion.

what's wrong with meeting in the middle? and if manny beats ricky then it'll be for the 140 belt.

                    pacquiao is a lightweight.

Pac is a 147 pounder when he showed up for his 135 pound fight by fight time.

How much does Floyd weigh by fight time for his 147 pound fights? 149.

HOw much did Pac just weigh-in this last fight and will weigh in the future for his 140 pound fight? 149

So what's the problem and what don't you get?

What weight will they show up at by fight time. Answer please.

You do realize Floyd was a lightweight back in the day as well?
He also said he could have milked it for longer if he wanted too, but he chose to go after his dream fight: O$car.

Pac had no choice but to move up.
