My Problems With SOME Puerto Rican fans

Have you actually read his posts? This guy once said "Am I biased towards Puerto Rican fighters? Yes", had it in my sig for a while. He calls me a sellout for picking Floyd over Cotto. He's the perfect example of the biased, irrational PRican that is being criticized in this topic.

Im a Puerto Rican and a one that lives in the Island. Usually people here doesnt see me comment here a lot but i think this topic is important. Yeah i have seen some BS countrymen of mine in here making good arguments only towards his boxers and always talking bad about thier oponents. But a can say that this is a attitude that we can see here from every nationality. Theres is people like that in every racial corner in this world. But what most people doesnt know is that here in PR the people has a great boxing knowledge and a vast moyority of people where very cautious in thier predictions in the Cotto vs Marg fight. What happend here is that any of you lives here to see it and you only see the arguments of two or three jerks in here that make more noise than 20 people. Here boxing is a religion and you can talk about it with any in every corner of this country. But if you came here and talked about boxing especially about a fight prediction you can get mostly of anybody great arguments. You cant have one possibly if the oponnent its a complete stranger and people only for ignorance talked bs.

The only truth in this is that people like boxing and will talk about it, but very rarely do they even know non-PRican fighters, and almost NEVER do they give good arguments to support their opinions. I remember when I picked Winky over Tito, I lost friends for that ****! People called me a sellout, many said I should leave PR because I was a disgrace to the island, that I was betraying my roots, etc. All because I had the ability to see that Winky was a superior fighter. Does this sound fair, and does this go in line with what you said in your post? **** no. Also, since we're talking about Tito, try to find a PRican that says Oscar outboxed him. I dare you. There might be 3 in the world.

I'm a fan of most Puerto Rican boxers. I want them to win but I'm not blind, I'm not crazy, I know when a boricua is at risk. For example I like Kermit but I think if he fights Clottey he will lose. On the other side I also think that Cotto has a good chance of beating Margo in the rematch. I always try to be just and not blind like others.

PS. Juanma needs to fight a good fighter before Israel... he isn't proved yet... I think that if Vazquez- Lopez happens right know Juanma would lose... but no... almost all boricuas are saying that Juanma >>>>>>> Vazquez... another clear example of my point.

If I go against the majority just for the **** of it, why are my favorite boxers Ali and Floyd, the ones almost everyone recognize as the best of their time/weight class? Just admit you're biased, dude. You've done it before, it shouldn't be that hard.

I dont know whats up with all the beefing but for the millionth time, I know a lot of races are biased, but I said SOME Ricans are biased because in my area (New Jersey) i'm mostly around Ricans so thats why I made the post about them.

I aint here to offend no one but its just the whole Vasquez has no chance against Lopez thing kinda got me irratated cuz its the same thing I heard about Winky-Trinidad, Tony-Cotto.

Thankfully it seems a lot of you Ricans get what i'm saying, and I get what your saying as for as its not just some of you guys that root for ur countryman.

I got no problems with Ricans going for Ricans, hell I support Mayorga. I'm just saying judge with your brain and not your pride.
