The Cotto was gonna outbox Margarito didn't make sense to me and how they were impressed with Cotto outboxing SSM...I didn't understand that and how HBO made SSM out to be a pure boxer! When the guy is clearly a speedy brawler. I knew Margarito was gonna win and I was 100% sure of it due to his chin, stamina, pressure... The **** they were spittin got wayyyy out of hand and when their boy lost some of them didn't show themselves 4 months after

Now we're hearing Cotto would K.O/ T.K.O or better yet outbox Paul...

It does get out of hand but

Honestly, how do we know we wouldn't turn out like that? Afterall, Not many Dominican boxers There all swining the bats

I'm Dominican and I gave Nate Campbell just as much chance to beat Guzman as I gave Guzman to beat Campbell.

I'm also Nicaraguan and let everyone know he had no chance against Trinidad. Thats why the ricans went easy on me. Even when he beat Forrest I still gave Forrest a chance

I can understand that. I'm a Puerto-Rican AMERICAN from NY. I pretty much like all Puerto-Rican boxers, boxers from NY and America in general. Of course I also like Pacquiao, Hatton and anyone else who is exciting to watch.

A lot of my family members and friends thought Cotto was gonna steam-roll Margarito, but I guess since I pay a little more attention to boxing I knew that Cotto would be in for a tough fight due to Margarito's chin and overall relentlessness. I was hoping Cotto would win but I knew that 100 punches a round and a good upper-cut were gonna eventually wear him out. However, I definitely didn't expect Margarito to walk through Cotto's punches the way he did. I think Margarito is actually a Frankenstein.

With regards to Juanma, I love to watch him but I definitely think he needs some more experience, meaning a fighter who won't go down in the first couple of rounds and will make Juanma use a little defense, before he fights Vasquez or Marquez.

I guess I'm just a little more realistic than some, but I definitely wouldn't say ALL Puerto-Ricans are just blind followers. We just like to represent and show love and confidence in our fighters.

I give boxing scene Ricans credit. I saw a lot of you rocking pics of Juanma when he was on the contender level and was a minor titleholder. So you guys been knew about him and didnt just jump the wagon when he beat De Leon
Thanks, Juanma is going to be a great star(though i gotta admit I don't really like him that much) I'm more than happy for him because he deserves it. To illustrate my point more clearly, here's a pic of what I'm talking about:

Because let's admit it.....Miguel Cotto was never a Puerto Rican star

Should have seen me. I was putting up 120K for Guzman over Nate I was that confident but I'll let you know why I wanted that bet

Even though I only had 120K at the time.

It was because EVEN if Guzman lost and I lost the 120K...There would have been no limit to how bad I would have felt. Meaning that the 120K wouldn't do me any bad lol

Dog imagine how I felt. I come from two countries with NO BOXERS. Mayorga was my only champ and I was surrounded by Rowdy Ricans so you can imagine how I felt when I saw Ricardo pummeled to death.

I was so stoke when I saw Guzman, he was ko-ing everyone. Then he turned into a slick boxer I was like "OH WE GOT A MAYWEATHER LIKE FIGHTER".
Him missing weight killed me. But like I said, I thot he would win but I def gave Nate an even chance.

And like I said, SOME Rican not all, I know there a real, unbiased Rican boxing fans

**** whoever says Cotto isn't a Puerto Rican star. If you see him at the parade or in PR he's got fans swarming him. I still love him even though he has 1 loss on his record now. I hope he beats Margarito in June but I know its gonna be a tough fight. I know he'll train hard though and will be prepared to go at it. He's got too much pride to just roll over and forget about the loss.
