My Problems With SOME Puerto Rican fans

It's cool that you say some and not all, truth is, most are like that. But it DOES seem kinda unfair to have this topic dedicated to us entirely, when like someone else said, Brits, Mexicans, Black Americans, White Americans, etc. can be just as bad.

Yeah i understand what you mean DICE, I remember arguing with BMWM3P about how the fight was 50-50 because Margarito is a tough SOB but he just can SEE nothing apart from the PR flag on his glasses.

But to be fair most boxing fans are like that blinded by either nationality or colour..

This is the problem I have when arguing with them. But the same can be said about other Races too.

Blacks do it with Black boxers

Mexicans do it too, I've seen it.

Europeans with Euro boxers. Especially the UK.

And Pinoys with Pac.

Yea like I said, it aint just Ricans, but in truth, from personal experiences, I'm around Ricans more so I experience it from them more. Like mexican fans I know at least gave Cotto a shot and knew Gomez was gonna get wrecked.

I think you get that with damn near any boxing fan. I find American fight fans like myself to be the least biased around here. I give credit where credit is due, I have no allegiance or duty to any nationality.

And I've never talked to a black fan on here who only liked black fighters either. Maybe the Mayweather crowd, but serious black posters here know who they are and give credit to all fighters who are deserving of it.

american fight fans are just as biased as anyone else.

Im a Puerto Rican and a one that lives in the Island. Usually people here doesnt see me comment here a lot but i think this topic is important. Yeah i have seen some BS countrymen of mine in here making good arguments only towards his boxers and always talking bad about thier oponents. But a can say that this is a attitude that we can see here from every nationality. Theres is people like that in every racial corner in this world. But what most people doesnt know is that here in PR the people has a great boxing knowledge and a vast moyority of people where very cautious in thier predictions in the Cotto vs Marg fight. What happend here is that any of you lives here to see it and you only see the arguments of two or three jerks in here that make more noise than 20 people. Here boxing is a religion and you can talk about it with any in every corner of this country. But if you came here and talked about boxing especially about a fight prediction you can get mostly of anybody great arguments. You cant have one possibly if the oponnent its a complete stranger and people only for ignorance talked bs.

The Cotto was gonna outbox Margarito didn't make sense to me and how they were impressed with Cotto outboxing SSM...I didn't understand that and how HBO made SSM out to be a pure boxer! When the guy is clearly a speedy brawler. I knew Margarito was gonna win and I was 100% sure of it due to his chin, stamina, pressure... The **** they were spittin got wayyyy out of hand and when their boy lost some of them didn't show themselves 4 months after

this happens all of the time. im glad there are some unbiased fans on this board, but i still believe that we ALL have nationalistic bias. at least a little bit
