Question for people in the UK

I'm not convinced, but it's certainly quite close. I remember the ashes 05 where everybody was watching and no work was being done in London. Hardly anyone got up for the famous rugby union final.
I love them both personally. The ones on the list I'm not so keen on are F1, golf and rugby ;eagueComment

Really?
Did you have to watch the Great Baseball Movies to get started or did you just jump right into it by watching a game?Comment

When I was in Norfolk a couple of years back I made an effort to watch as much sport as I could. I managed 3 Tides games, and 2 Admirals games.Did you have to watch the Great Baseball Movies to get started or did you just jump right into it by watching a game?
I never really enjoyed the baseball, I found it boring and overly long, the Icehockey was awesome.Comment

Same could be argued for boxing. People that want to participate in a game that has the ability to make them a cripple.
There is a college player named Myron Rolle that has to decide if he wants to go Pro {NFL} or take the Rhodes scholarship he won that will allow him to continue on his path to become a neurosurgeon. So what will he now decide to do: go to the NFL or go with the all-expense paid scholarship for two or three years of study at Oxford University in England?

When did the BBC last show any boxing? 1980's? When has the BBC ever shown any NFL games? Never to my knowledge. For BBC 1 and BBC 2
So if your arguement is solely about Terrestrial TV i'll step out since I only watch it if it's Boxing on ITV or football that isn't availible on the far superior SKY coverage.Comment
