I'm not avoiding anything. In fact, I had about seven fighters on my list before I realized I don't even know what "generation" means. Then it occured to me that what other people did doesn't make Oscar's better or worse. If you feel he's an ATG, prove it. I've made a few posts on no one here can definitively do that.

Look, it's great to make your resume look great by adding NAMES. Especially in Oscar's case. He's made tons of money this way because the casual fan doesn't know better. He fought Vargas well after it mattered - when 'Nando already had his chin shattered. And he didn't fight the best in ANY division until he reached welter. But through that time, he kept racking up NAMES.

Genaro Hernandez? Sure, if you move up.

Bernard Hopkins? Yep...wait...get down to 156. (He lost BTW)

And so forth...I just gave two examples on opposite sides.

And you know what? He's still doing it!

Manny Pacquiao? Absolutely I'll fight the best fighter in the world (at 147)

His resume is proof enough. Don't agree, O well. I find it funny how people call Floyd an ATG, just cause he's undefeated but yet his resume doesn't go near Oscar's. Again, who has a better resume than Oscar?? You keep flipping it around.

Personally, I think Oscar has the proper clout to actually make changes and better the sport as a promoter…until he dives into a full-time promoter mode can he do that…that half and half combo is only messing things up…his fighters are getting poached on their opponents and potentially awesome matchups are being derailed because he wont hang em up…

Picture this bro: DLH as a full time promoter = JMM-PAC 3 if he was really looking out for the best interest of his fighter…winner takes on Hatton…now tell me, JMM-PAC 3 + PAC vs Hatton or JMM vs Hatton...that’s the kinda **** that would elevate the sport IMO

When did I call Floyd an ATG? Nice try. But try to stick to the topic please? I'm not trying to flip anything around, like YOU just did.

You guys kill me."Oscar's an ATG!" Oh yeah, how? "Well...who has a better resume?" Please. If you felt he truly was an ATG and could prove it, you WOULD. Not try to bring other fighters in it to compensate for your lack of knowledge - or so you could try to change the topic like you're doing here.

You didn't. That was just an example. I did?? I answered your question but yet you don't answer mine. Who has a better resume than Oscar in this generation??? All you do is keep avoiding my question. Ok I'll make it easier for you......who do you consider an ATG in this generation??

There is a thread with a poll about what we are talking about. Maybe you should go vote, since it looks like DLH is winning the "yes" part.

When did you answer my question? As for ATG's, while leaving out heavyweights, I'd say:

                    Roy Jones
                    Bernard Hopkins
                    Manny Pacquiao (up for debate)

                    All examples

Fighting great fighters doesn't make you an ATG. BEATING them does.

As for the poll, who cares who wins? threadstarter didn't even define ATG.

So if Oscar beats up on police officers/trashmen and looks flashy he's an ATG right?? Look at Bernard, you do know alot his biggest wins were against smaller guys right??
Which one of them is a 10X World Champion in 6 Weight Classes?? Oscar has done more than them IMO.
