But stop trying to draw me into some weird Oscar vs. Floyd debate so you can cast me. Who has Oscar beaten that makes you say he's an ATG? WHO?

Who is his best win? I would argue Ike Quartey or Fernando Vargas. That's ATG status? Not in my book.
Being a draw has nothing to do with fighting...are you sure?

We'll start here and theses were fights as he was moving up...Say what you want these guys could fight...Over 25 title fights for a pretty good fighter is pretty amazing I think...

      Roy Jones

      Manny Pacquiao (up for debate)

      All examples

Fighting great fighters doesn't make you an ATG. BEATING them does.

As for the poll, who cares who wins? threadstarter didn't even define ATG.
      that was a rock!

      still..

my oppinion.. i think he is...

Oscar should win this fight no problem.

That's a HOF resume right there.

ATG? Nah. See what I mean by "names?" I mean, that looks good but what if someone told you Whitaker and Chavez were old, Camacho - that was a joke of a fight...Mayorga? Gatti at 147? Come on.

Like I said, his best wins are Ike and Vargas. Agree?

Which one of them is a 10X World Champion in 6 Weight Classes?? Oscar has done more than them IMO.
Don't give me that 10x champ bull****. Who did he beat for those belts? Francisco Castillejo? Umm..I'll take KEITH HOLMES over that, thank you very much.

Six weight classes? Jimmy Bredahl? Felix Sturm? You're kidding, right?

And Bernard also leaped TWO divisions and beat the best LHW in the world. When has Oscar done that?

When has Oscar ever cleaned out a division? When?

Don't like it that he won that many compared to your boys?? Beating Tarver isn't impressive to me, that guy just had Jones' number. Oscar has jumped 6 divisions to win titles. Did Jones or Hop do that?? Lets not forget Hopkins lost in some big fights also. Jones, Calzaghe, Taylor. 2/3 are HOFs.........DLH lost to all HOFs HOP, Trinidad(disputable), Mosley 1 & 2(2nd one disputable), Floyd. Roy Jones was just flashy and looking good going up against an OK resume. FYI its alot easier to clean out your division when the competition isn't as great.

No one knew who Hopkins was till he started beating blown up Welters.

"My boys?" LOL @ this clown still trying to change the topic.

**** outta here with that 10x champ ****. Like that means something in this era of a million belts.

Why do you keep bringing up other fighters? Let Oscar stand on his own merit!

And don't gimme that BS about it being easy to clean out your division when the competition isn't that great. You mean that's easier than just avoiding the best in that division period? **** outta here.

Shame on you trying to invoke every other name fighter you know in order to deflect the fact that Oscar's resume is a bunch of NAMES, most of whom he lost to, and most of the rest were either old, faded or in the WRONG weight class.

                  I want oscar to win...

partley because he's going to be an all time great (he's already argueably the best of his era) and because if he wins it makes it possible to get another fight with floyd.

many people that just read that are like "WHAT!?!?!?!" but i'd love to see oscar v. floyd II because i felt the first fight was really close and with a few adjustments oscar can get the win the second time around.

i like pacman and think he'd make a great opponent to bring floyd out of retirement but i lean towards oscar.

I know you're a good poster, and we don't agree with this. You have your opinion and I have mine.

One more thing, and I won't argue with you anymore.

So you mean to tell me its harder or just as hard for Kelly/Abraham to clean out their division than, lets say a Top rated boxer @ 135, 147?? Think about it.
