By fighting a guy 3 weights lighter than himself??

Isnt he a big favourite to win this fight?

I found it strange that in the 24/7 series they havent mentioned the huge weight difference. Theyre trying to make it sound like Oscar doesnt have all the advantages.

Oscar has more to lose than Manny. If Manny loses, it doesn't really mean much. If Oscar loses it buts a serious dent into his legacy. And I think that would be a shame, because he already gets a lot of unmerited hate and people are starting to lose sight of what a great career he's had.

I don't mind if he wins but I'd rather the little guy wins.

This is what happens when u take on meaningless fights for the sole reason of lining your pockets with millions. You cant expect the fans to continue to support you. Oscar should be fighting someone like Margarito right now. Not a guy who started his career at 106, and has never fought above 135. Its a money fight. That's all.

Oscar said he'd fight the winner of cotto/margarito. And basically lied to the fans, then went with midget pacquiao.

I don't necessarily condone what he's doing....but it doesn't take away the fact that he has always fought the best competition when he never had to. If he loses, people will forget about his phenomenal resume and he will forever be the guy that lost to a fighter 3 weightclasses below him. And that would be a shame.
