If those two victories qualify as ATG status for you then everybody who beats a past his prime once great should be recognized as an ATG. but I understand...seriously. Because on paper those wins look good. In reality, Whitaker was WAY past his best, coming off a come-from-behind KO of Diobylis Hurtado (where Whitaker was dropped TWICE) and also needed two tries to beat Wilfredo Rivera (the first fight was controversial). Whitaker was WELL past-it. Chavez? That dude was past it when he fought Frankie Randall, let alone Oscar.
