Lesnar is an NCAA National wrestling champion. he is also a physical freak of nature. he is 285lbs but he possesses the speed of a middleweight and the strength of someone who is 400pounds.

not to mention couture has been inactive for over a year and shouldn't still be holding the heavyweight title. He is also 45years old and more of a natural light heavyweight.

Lesnar deserves this win but he is definitley not the best heavyweight in the world. that title belongs to Fedor Emelianenko.
LOL!!!!!!!! what strength??? He's 300lbs of muscle and he was being manhandled and dominated by a 220lbs 50 year old man tonight. Lesnar is WEAK even with all the roids

At least in the old days you'd see a guy who's a master of something like Taktarov and SAMBO vs. a guy specializing only in something else like Dan Severn and wrestling etc..
It is funny to watch a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighter try to to take someone down and find out he cant. Its either he continues to try and get the takedown the whole fight and looks like a slobby whale or he tries to strike with the opposing fighter and looks like a glorified bar brawler or a tentative little school girl.

I like style vs style clashes. Even in boxing you get style vs style matches ie. brawler vs boxer etc. But now in MMA its almost as if the intrigue is completely gone.

he's fought 1 bum. the korean freakshow.

herring and mir are top quality fighters.

he was beating up mir btw. he just got caught by a submission. understandable since subs isn't his strong suit.

I used to like mma, before I even got into boxing actually. but once I got used to boxing, mma became almost unwatchable. watching two wrestlers trying to box is so frustrating, its amazing. I seriously see more skill in most 4 round fighters than your average guy in mma.

i watch mma because unlike in wrestling, judo or bjj matches......i get to see how a grappler uses his technique while getting whacked on the head. one thing to practice armbars and chokes on the mat......different story when someone is trying to KTFO you.

speaking great ground fight and active striking...... penn-st. pierre still on?

haven't been keeping up on my mma news since all my faves are no longer active but i'm waiting on that one.
Yep, Penn/GSP I believe is UFC 93 in January. Could be wrong though.

And thats the thing with BJJ and even wrestling. Pure BJJ and wrestling contests although the skills are transferrable the format is unrealistic. Many BJJ guys have failed in their MMA career because of the fact that they fall apart when they get hit.

Theres a saying, a BJJ black belt gets hit he goes down a belt, gets hit again, he goes down another belt. You him him enough and hes just your average white belt. LOL.

Too be perfectly honest, Min So Kim was a late replacement and he didn't know if he was actually fighting till he found out he was cleared two days before the event.

Sure he was a bum, but you really can't fault him for this match.

All I'm glad about is that we got to see a full card and everyone stepped up to the plate.

                      Exactly.

And really, even if he was a bum (which he was) its completely justified considering Lesnar was making his MMA debut.
