Does anyone really like Calzaghe outside of the UK?

Like i said in the past, i respect Calzaghe for what he has accomplished, but just can't respect him for the way he fight. I just can't get over it, he is so akward and his fights look ugly. Boxing is supposed to be judged on effective and accurate punching, and i can't say i consider his "slapping" technique to be effective.
But hey, it seems to be working for him, just don't expect me to be a fan. You can't say i like him, but i don't hate him either, i just don't care really.Comment

I guess the cut on Jones eye was self inflicted.Like i said in the past, i respect Calzaghe for what he has accomplished, but just can't respect him for the way he fight. If that is the only example you can come up with to defend Joes punching technique it just shows i am right.
A punch doesn't have to be powerfull at all to cause a cut, it's more about where it lands and what part of the glove hits than anything else. Most of the cuts comming from punches in boxing are actually from grazing punches.Comment
