I like Calzaghe and I'm from So cal.

You're saying Margarito is exciting because he packs power in his punches, while Calzaghe throws volume with very little power? Calzaghe has more pure boxing ability in his pinky than Margarito does in his whole body. Calzaghe has ring generalship and can BOX. Margarito is just a glorified, one dimensional brawler whos lucky he has a granite chin. The dude is slow and plods around like a caveman, I don't call that very exciting.

Well see, theres the difference. Roy acted like a prick because he mauled his opponents, crisp hard shots. Low ratio of punches thrown and he knew he would land about half of them. But Calzaghe, he just slaps the **** out of an opponent when they are on the ropes and thinks he is the ****. He throws an average of 1,000 punches a fight. So what? Well try and landing more of them. Jones landed 46% of his punches vs. Trinidad, can't you be ****y after that? Another high volume puncher, Antonio Margarito. Margarito in his last fight against Cotto he threw 637 and landed 237 total punches. The difference is, yes he might of thrown less than Calzaghe but every shot was significant and he ultimately stopped his opponent. Any fighter could throw 100+ punches (in this case slaps), but what good is it if only 20% of them will end in the end? You'd figure if someone threw that many punches they would of had their opponents out.
That was some slap that had Roy's face drowning in blood, wasnt it?

Calzaghe landed the most punches ever on Jones.

      Thanks.

If I slapped you in the face a couple hundred times, don't you think you'd be bleeding eventually? He slaps dude. Steward said it, Lampley said it, Kellerman said it. It's just a fact. It's effective because the judges obviously don't distinguish much between slaps and hard punches.
