You have to go to Roy Jones Jr. Nobody outside of Germany knew who Mickey was. Roy was the Star of boxing.

Plus, even though I like Germany and they put on a good show, there is no way Roy was going to take his chances in Germany...not worth it.

Dariusz's people were German promoters hence they offered the fight to Roy in Germany. Its up to Roy's people to make them an offer to fight in America. Ive never heard of the existence of one.

At Light-Heavyweight: Charles, Moore, Spinks, Marciano (if we count him as a LH), Billy Conn, Gene Tunney, Bob Foster...all could have given Roy a tough test even though Roy is far superior athletic wise.

So Hopkins a guy with 23 fights, not one single notable opponent, not even a championship fight let alone a belt was the best middleweight in the world.
