Why do some people hate Joe Calzaghe?

i dont hate him, i just hate the way he throws punches. i also think that some people overrate the hell out of his undefeated streak, there may be bums in all those title defenses but it takes a hell of a fighter to get any kind of streak in boxing.

Because his fans make him seem like the greatest fighter to ever lace up a pair of gloves, and his resume doesnt back up their claims. A lot of fans also fail to listen to reason when claims are made against his resume and try to compare it with people like RJJ and to be honest its doesnt compare. Im a Joe fan by the way so dont come at me all crooked.

I think there are maybe 3 or 4 "overzealous fans" of Calzaghe on this forum, or at least what I'd call overzealous. There are many more of the same type for other boxers. I'm admittedly a fan of a good number of boxers, but Calzaghe is one of the few that seems to have such a large number of boxing fans who just can't stand him.

Lol 3 or 4 is definitely more than enough to get the job done...

Like I said Im a fan also, I watch the Lacy fight every other month or so hell of a performance. Its easy to start disliking A LOT of fighters listening to SOME of their fans on here. Mayweather, Margarito, Cotto etc. etc.
