Bowe ducked Lewis..so what? Bowe doesn't call himself a legend killer..so don't be puzzled..
Hopkins ducked Joe in 2002. Obviously he didnt want to fight a prime Calzaghe.

Chicken Bowe is one of the worst duckers in the history of the sport. So parading him in your avatar then crying about ducking is rather strange.

Joe would be foolish to fight Hopkins again.

Hopkins shoulda had a rematch clause in the contract.

I really think Roy is gonna take Joes 0.

He has only one man to get past and he can have an undefeated career
Having 2 hall of famers on his record.

lol you delusional clown, who said Hopkins ducked Calzaghe? slappy himself? you believe everything that goof says. Too Afraid to fight a Prime Calzaghe? what are you asking to get owned?, Hopkins was 43 when he called out Calzaghe....i'm pretty sure he'd be worrying about himself.

Yes Bowe is a ducker, I'm aware, he ducked Lewis by vacating the title. I don't think he's the greatest heavyweight of the generation. BTW, did you end up downloading the Hopkins Zaghe fight? did you spot any stray slaps that landed flush?

Taylor beat him twice and Joe once all fair and square. That's boxing move on, you lost.

Hopkins doesn't deserve endless rematches like your making out. Roy is not icing Joe in 5 rounds lol he couldn't ice Tito. Nard couldn't hurt Joe to anywhere near the extent necessary for a KO. He has neither the power to trouble Joes chin significantly given flush hard shots he's had off others and been ok, nor the work rate for a TKO. He couldn't come close to knocking out Kelly, a free standing target he could hit at will.

Calzaghe had a poor performance and is wise to Hopkins tactics and styles now, he wins clearer in a rematch which he won't get. I have full respect for his win the other weekend, but it doesn't vindicate 2 losses to Taylor either. Styles make fights.
haha. thanks for the respect brotha. yeah, its my dream scenario, but highly unlikely.

Roy could have ko'ed tito IMO, as well as Hanshaw, and many other opponents (ala David Telesco) whom he fought in his prime. I equate it to a cat playing with a near-dead mouse but getting bored and leaving it there to squirm around. roy was more interested in putting on a show (with flash, not a crowd-pleasing ko) and getting rounds then he was in going in for the kill. his killer instinct took a serious hit with the McClellan incident and he has only finished off those who seriously offended him (i.e. Griffin) or completely inferior fighters who were to weak to stand in with someone of his caliber for 12 rounds, no matter how much he was laying back (glen kelly, richard Hall). We all know how Roy looks and fights when he gets his mind right, which keeps the possibility, albeit a slight one that he can get to Joe. He might also lose a wide decision to Joe, so I'm not really predicting here, just riffing on an idea really.

I agree styles make fights, but I had Hopkins winning the 1st fight against JT and either winning or drawing with JT the second time around. Because of the close nature of these fights, I think it vindicates the losses. I too, do NOT, otherwise subscribe to the triangle theory. cheers!

RJJ needs to find a way to beat Calzaghe if we are ever gonna see Hopkins fight again. Joe wont take the rematch.
RJJ on the other hand seems desperate to keep the spotlight longer, I could see him taking it if the hype was there.

Its not only common knowledge that Hopkins agreed to fight Calzaghe then chickened out 24 hours later, it was confirmed by a Showtime executive who sat in on the meeting between both camps.

Greatest hw of the generation? Why would anyone think that? Im just saying, stop idolising Chicken Bowe then crying about people ducking.

Ive got the fight on DVD and I see plenty landing. Calzaghe won. Get over it.

He clearly lost 2 B-Hop. joe is fake...he's the next great white-hope in da uk. he **** his pants when B-Hop knocked him down & in the last round enzo(dad/trainer) clearly said "joe! you have to knock him out to win!" meanwhile in Bernards corner "we got this champ, easy win." slappy's fake spot light time is up. Roy will beat him in a u.d.

Hops pulled out. No two ways around it.

Hopkins didn't take the fight for the same reason he had almost NO big fights after Tito. he was under contract with his a long-time enemy and rival, was barely getting paid and would have to give up a lot of money to that rival in order to get paid.

Hopkins also wasn't aware of how close King and Warren were - Warren only revealed a month ago that when King was on trial, he asked Warren to run his business if he was sent to jail. If I remember correctly, Hops asked for double the amount after agreeing upon the first contract. This is what caused King to say, "Hopkins is like the guy who wins the lotto and loses the ticket." Guess Hops had the last laugh.

I don't Idolize Bowe..what the hell..I never even brought him up! he's just in my avatar.

It's also common knowledge that Calzaghe likes to back out of fights himself quite a bit, so much to the point that people wouldn't even bother with him.

I still don't buy the Hopkins ducking Calzaghe, Zaghe hadn't beat anyone good to make someone like Hopkins scared of him.

Also, stop bringing up Bowe, I don't go around hanging off Bowes nutsack and quoting him word for word and calling it "common knowledge".

can you give me the time frames of Zaghe landing some solid blows please? I must have missed them for 20th time around watching the fight.

Hopkins is right, its just unfortunate that Roy will KO joe so we wont have a chance to see Hopkins knocking out the joe.
