Dag, I agree that Hops won, but you need to relax man.

Too true. Dag, we know you're not happy with the Calzaghe win over Hopkins, but do you honestly need to endlessly keep repeating yourself? You talk about barely anything else on here. Remind yourself that, no matter what you say, you won't change anyone's opinion on here, people have their minds made up already and came to their own conclusions seven months ago. So essentially, you are only making yourself out to be a bitter person who's hopelessly fixated on one thing.


My opinion on the fight, regardless how pointless it is posting it here, is that Hopkins let himself down due to being unable to keep a fast pace. I know Calzaghe looked like crap, but so did Bernard. Their styles will never look good together. As the fight progressed, Calzaghe had found a solution to Hopkins' puzzle and figured out a way to fight him. Bernard didn't impress me much, because most of the time he only threw a single punch and rushed forward with his head down, then grabbed. Calzaghe started to time that punch and caught Bernard with some solid shots a number of times. Whether the majority of Calzaghe's shots landed or not, he ended up controlling the pace, forced the fight, and eventually deserved the win. I had Calzaghe a couple of rounds up in the end. Horrible fight. Definitely the worst Calzaghe has ever looked, and a pretty uncomfortable looking fight for Hopkins too.

Posting all this is pointless. Everyone has their own opinion on the fight and I wouldn't expect to change anyone else's mind who's dead set on saying that Hopkins deserved to win. Whatever though.
