    1. Pavlik was severely affected by the weight jump.

    2. Nard would whip his ass at any weight, at any time.

really all there is to it.

It isn't the weight. It is the opponent. Kel is a great white hype that many bought into.
Lets not go that far. He beat Miranda when nobody would fight him. He beat Taylor twice when nobody had (Hopkins couldnt.) He isnt a bad fighter or hype. Hopkins style and ability just beats Pavliks style and ability.

I don't think the weight made any difference at all, he just met his match.

kelly only knows 1 way to fight, and that is forward and back fighting.
Hopkins capitalised on that, and countered kelly everytime he threw a punch.
That is a major discouragement to stop throwing punches.

When you ae a p4p ranked young lion, you should not get dominated by a 44 year old man. Regardless of his style. You have a size, strength and age advantage.

He IS/WAS hyped. Even DLH was not dominated the way that Kel was.

Can you imagine ANYBODY dominating Mayweather the way KP got schooled?
              119-106? Really??

Lol, why would you compare PAvlik to Floyd? Even if you're talking about it in terms of being on the p4p list, it doesn't make sense.

Pavlik is not a hype beating Taylor twice and Edison proves that. I hope he comes back and beats both WInky and AA

Mayweather was also an undeafeated young fighter at one point...no? A guy on the p4p list.

Do fighters have to be the same weight for us to compare the respective arcs of their careers?

You just hate the comparison because it further emphasizes your hype job.
